This really highlights how essential Gemma is to the whole operation. From all of the technical crewing details, to keeping a cool head once the pain starts and Phil's mood plummets. What a champion.

I agree, it was fascinating seeing two different “Gemma’s” …there was Gemma the coach, lead crew member and mentor who took no shit and showed zero vulnerability ! then in certain circumstances there was Gemma the partner, lover and carer who was very vulnerable, worried but also very proud. This gave me so many moments of goosebumps it was a joy to watch. Absolutely outstanding performance from both of you. #TeamGore

Finally got round to watching this and what a treat! An incredible journey. Phil and Gemma are the golden couple of the backyard ultra world in my eyes and this film shows why! Gemma has crewing down to utter perfection and Phil, what an inspiration, just amazing perseverance and shows how much we can push through if we want to enough. Thanks so much for another awesome film 👍

Phil, you inspire me to no end. Your journey is beyond remarkable. Having watched the Dead Cow Gully backyard ultra documentary many times and now this documentary of the World Championship, you and Gemma are legends.

Really enjoyed this! The coverage of Bigs was amazing, by far the best of any Backyard ever. However, I was really looking forward so seeing some good HD documentaries coming out of it.

We used to train together when he first started running, when his only focus was getting through 5km a day and outrunning smoking. Crazy to see how far he's come.

Great to watch, so interesting seeing the struggles even for the top tier. just got to wonder how the travel and timezone differences played a part at the extremes.

Hi Phil. Would be interesting for me to know how long your complete recovery period was... Anyway, a marvellous performance. 👏🏼
