Sitting down for a catch up on Plasmo as I usually do at random times. Something about it always stuck with me. It always had this delightful unnerving otherworldliness to it. Short episodes with interesting unique characters, that weirdly don't feel the need to rush you despite the length, with slow melancholic thoughtful music followed by crazy fast credits. It works and leaves you with a strange sense of being out of time. I would love to see these guys return some day. Coredor and Brucho's voices will forever be buried in the back of my subconscious! I might go so far as to say that even 20 or so years on, Plasmo holds up as one of those rare "perfect" bits of television, and it kind of drifted away as easily as it drifted in.

Thanks for that. I’d like to see it back also and it would be great to see new characters as well. It’s a pity the ABC weren’t supportive of it by doing a coproduction of a second season. I think their budget was not great.

@@anthonylawrence3265 A lot of the weird experimental shows that ended up on the ABC really could have had a longer shelf life, but I can't imagine there was too much push for original programming outside of that wave of late 80s art students. Hard for the bean counters to justify entertainment on a predominantly government funded station. Ferals was another that got the chop. Not gonna lie, Plasmo would work great as a video game. There was a claymation animated game in the 90s called The Neverhood, and I feel like Plasmo could have worked in that style, if it were revisited outside of a traditional series.

These Hi-8 tapes have aged really nicely. One of my old home videos is so worn because I played it constantly as a child.

I love seeing Phil in these videos. You get a sense of this wonderfully complex character. He has such a sharp wit about him. Very quick thinker. On a side note - Anthony, I'd love to one day 3D model the characters from Plasmo. I know it definitely would not be the same as claymation (nothing will ever be as perfectly imperfect!), but maybe make a very small animation of the gang. Plasmo has always been a huge favourite of mine. I find myself constantly quoting Coredor and Brucho especially. I blame you for my slight instability! :D

Sorry for late response! I obviously missed this one! I am always interested in seeing how Plasmo et al could look as digital models. The idea of using digital double stuntman puppets appeals to me, especially if its a scene with characters walking and they arent too close!
