@@patrickalred2839 I used to train with him back in the day in Daytona Beach at Elite Muay Thai. Fought on some of the same amateur events and whatnot. He came around the gym a lot and built a solid relationship with the head coach Dom Simmons. They still train together today. I didn't like him either. We rolled a few times, and one time, I took his back and went for a rear naked choke, and he pretended like he gave up the position, as if he just let me choke him in order to "teach" me. Couldn't just humbly take the L. Maybe he really was trying to be nice and let me work, in his mind. I don't know, but I didn't need it. I had the position and the choke by my own volition. Huge ego. HUGE. He also was a big-time showboater and would dance in the ring and mock his opponents, etc. Never liked the dude. However, he's the real deal as far as a fighter goes. I will not front on that. I wish him success, regardless.

I found that train of thought a little conflicting as well… I think from a psychological perspective it may mean he was disappointed Neil didn’t consider him a friend since you usually don’t agree on matchups with friends. But after he got over that, he reasoned with himself “it’s all business.”

Phil's fight IQ is horrendous. He is lighting up Neil on the feet then goes for the fence clinch and wrestling. Couldn't believe my eyes. Phil could have won this convincingly, but he seemed to want to prove he could beat Neil at his own game. "He's a wrestler now" Just a huge disappointment.

He saying they don't know shit about the DETAILS as to why or how he screwed up the weight cut. A time error on his part where he comes out and says, "I MISSED weight, NOT my coaches, not my nutritionist...I missed weight." How is that making excuses? Y'all are dumb on purpose, I swear. Look. I REALLY like and respect Neil. He's game af, he's a pro, a vet, and he's a winner. So no shade to Neil at all. But Fresh Prince is gonna stick that jab out there over & over, kick the shit out of him on all three levels, and work the boxing body head combos until something gets knocked loose...and then he is going to finish Magny. Clean KO, G&P TKO, club & sub or out grappling him until he tangles him up with his BJJ and subs him. I truly believe Phil is that good and has greatness in his fighting future. I HOPE not too many of y'all are still sleeping. I saw him in person get Niko Price out of there in the 3rd round in Orlando back in December, and he blew the roof off the AmWay Center in his hometown that night! This is just another step up the ladder for him. S/o to his coach Julian, Paul Rodriguez and ATT Orlando, where my younger brother rolls. The gym was very welcoming at belt ceremony that Saturday morning, before the fights took place later. That was a great trip down there for my birthday. Next stop for Phil: RANKED 👊🏼💪🏼
