These days, people think just because they believe there is a God, or they believe that Jesus exist, it makes them a Christian. They are leaving out the fact you have to have a relationship with Him.

Saints in the original greek is the word: HAGIOS. That word means: 'a most holy thing'. The greek word Hagios breaks down into 2 words: HAGNOS : to be immaculately clean. The other word it breaks down to is THALPO: that means to be tenderly loved. This is why we are called Saints because at the moment of salvation we are, by the power of the Holy Spirit, immaculately clean and tenderly loved.

We are learning that Christian was originally a derogatory term used to describe the followers of Christ. I find it strange that we so easily adopted the term when it was meant for slander. We aren't followers of Christ. Christ is a term that means 'anointed one'. There are many people who are anointed, I don't follow them. I am a child of Jehovah, and a follower of Yeshua.

I really enjoyed the show. I consider your show just one of God's many blessings bestowed upon His children on a daily basis. However, having noted this fact cannot get me past Al's promotion of overtime content that I feel many of us cannot see due to financial constraints. I also believe everyone or most everyone knows those constraints are only getting worse in these now socialist states of America. This is not what my father and thousands of others fought for, many paying the ultimate sacrifice. Many heroes are still ready to defend our nation as I type. Please understand the respect I have for the Robertsons as my Christian brothers. I am not talking down to the them or Blaze, but reaching across to the local powers that be to please re-think the practice of charging money for God's Word. Personally I've reached that status in life called fixed income and pretty much poor as a church mouse. I believe many here are in the same boat, but whatever the circumstance, paying for God's Word does not feel right. Can't you just advertise more so all of us can watch and hear overtime? I'll take the half full glass instead of the half empty approach and watch what I can. This will be my last mentioning of the subject. Pray for our country. Pray for our world. Prayer is free and God's lines are open 24/7. -Peace.

The problem with the word Christian is that the world applies it to any religion, cult etc. that uses and abuses Jesus/Christ. So a true follower or as you say an ambassador of Christ is lumped with a cult who follows a belief in a Christ-like figure that is actually demonic in origin. The word Christian in many parts of the world is also used to describe someone who isn't Muslim or Jewish or some such thing. It's just totally messed up and sadly this confuses a lot of people who are lost and have not truly heard the true gospel.

You're not quite accurate on the Catholic definition of the Saints. We all must be Saints to enter heaven and join with God our father. That's why we as Catholics believe in purgatory where we can purify our soul in preparation to be with God. Some are seen as Saints as they purified their soul to reconcile all of their sins and therefore ready to see the face of God. Most of us will need a time to cleanse our sins before presenting ourselves to God. We hope for purgatory as this is a guarantee we are saved and will be with God in eternity. We are different than the belief that once baptized all sins past and future are forgiven. We believe you can separate yourself from God through sins and reconciliation and repentance are needed before we are ready to spend eternity with God the father. We too must be a lamb with no blemish. However, we also believe that all believers are sons and daughters of Christ and we are all brothers and sisters in Christ regardless of your particular denomination of the faith. Catholics are heavily persecuted in the Christian world sadly. With so much misunderstanding of what we believe. We do not worship statues. We do not worship Mary. We believe the Eucharist is the body and blood of the perfected resurrected Christ which is not the worldly flesh and blood. We do believe that Christ transforms the bread and wine into something wholly changed with his nature transubstantiated into the bread and wine. Jesus said, only if you eat my flesh and drink my blood or you shall have no life in you. We do not see this as a metaphor or parable . Many disciples left jesus when he said this as they too understood that this meant his actual blood and flesh. They simply failed to understand that is was his glorified body and blood. God Bless you and love your show❤✝️

Purgatory is nowhere to be found in the scriptures. I used to be Catholic, and I feel that the idea of purgatory perpetuates this idea that a person can live fast and loose and be cleansed by God after they die to get into heaven, which is completely false. By the way how is the pope Holy? A completely arrogant self-assertion of the Catholic Vatican. He is flesh and blood just like you and me which means he has a corrupted sin nature just like any other human being which we inherited from Adam and Eve. Only our God the triune God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy spirit are the only Holy being. Fortunately, I have become born again like Jesus commanded in the scriptures. Why would Jesus tell Nicodemus that he must be born again? If you look at the catholic version of the ten commandments, they are different than the Bibles ten commandments. The catholic ten commandments omit the second commandment altogether, and they split the tenth commandment into the ninth and the tenth- that's a big yikes for me. I'm not making this up, you can look it up for yourself. I only say this because I love my Catholic brothers and sisters and most of my immediate family is catholic and I constantly pray for them everyday to put Jesus above the Church. I also constantly pray for the catholic church to have a reformation. Jesus says to love your neighbor, and that includes telling them the complete truth.
@robertmartin15122 жыл бұрын
In fact, even before Christ the Jewish people recognized that there could be such a need and believed that the prayers of those still living could aid in that cleansing. In the Second Book of Maccabees (12:39-46), Judas Maccabeus prays for his fallen comrades who had died in battle while wearing amulets dedicated to pagan idols. That Old Testament passage tells us that Judas turned to prayer as an expiatory sacrifice and “thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be absolved from their sin” - showing his belief that the deceased could still be helped by the intercession of the living. In the New Testament, arguably the clearest reference to purgatory comes in Matthew’s Gospel (12:32), where Jesus states that “whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come” - implying that there are at least some sins that can be forgiven in the next life. Such scriptural references leads to the church’s belief, stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, that “all who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven”
