You can play this in standard tuning as well with E shape chords, just capo 1 on your guitar and its in the same key. So B G#minor and E is the intro and so forth

its in C, but his guitar is tuned down a whole step from standard tuning (eg DGCFAD), and if you look up an "i will wait for you there" tab the chord shapes for that are the same as what he's playing here just strummed etc..
