We didn't have TBS in Canada in the 90s so had no idea that their opening montage is just a knockoff of the CBS intro

we did have it but most households didn't want to pay for the extra pay channels IE we would watch the WGN and TBS games in "negative" pictures

So true!! TBS at the time only did Hawks games while TNT did the entire league. The open was a spinoff of CBS' opening.

yeah TBS ,KTLA &WGN were available in Canada via Cable in the mid 90s but definitely not TNT or ESPN only if you had Satellite

My folks had tbs, we weren't rich we didn't have cable just like 12 channels and tbs was one of them. Grew up watching braves and hawks games. Chicago got a lot of TV time too, my sister was a Jordan fan so naturally I became a Reggie miller fan

The fans were getting on Jon Koncak something awful. Remember he got the nickname Jon "Contract". Incredibly He was the highest paid player in the NBA at one point.
