Y'all need to figure out how to pronounce Coopers name correctly. It's NOT Dejohn. It's either Dejean (like the pants), or as we from Philly call him... DeJawn!

The way Cooper played at Iowa is how the Eagles will play under Fangio, he definitely has better hip fluidity than Kelee Ringo.

I see that too. Ppl forgot Kelee ran a 4.4 too lol we will only use Dejean on the inside due to slay still being here. Can’t wait for these guys to mesh and get chemistry through camp. Can’t wait to see who we have our 2 camps with. Gonna be exciting to watch these young guys compete. 🔥🔥🔥

@@allyal728 They've had one of the top defenses in college. The problem is their offense is absolutely terrible. Even then DeJean has been playing in a similar zone scheme to Fangio.

He’s saying if he does switch to safety the tape at outside CB doesn’t matter, I wouldn’t say it’s irrelevant though

Cooper actually pronounces the “j" like the “g” in “mirage,” which is closer to the actual French pronunciation.

Since Cooper was drafted in the second now yall have a problem but he had a first round grade... If he would have went to any other nfl team what would cooper been there best cornerback they drafted that night number one CB ONE THERE TEAM OR TWO CB

Jalyx Hunt was one of my favorite picks in the whole draft. He's obviously a developmental player, but him being able to go to the Eagles and sit and learn behind Sweat, Huff, and Nolan Smith is exactly what he needs to become a stud. Him and Jonah Ellis were two criminally underrated prospects to me, and I'm glad both of them went on Day 2. Made me feel better about my bullish evaluations on them.

CJGJs infectious personality and LOVE for the game is going to rub off on these two kids n Slays professionalism will also which is priceless… if Maddox can stay healthy n Bradberry can get back on track the 2ndary will be dangerous…. Fangio has to use them correctly tho…

Great draft by the Eagles. Wouldn't be surprised if they utilized all 9 of these picks in situational roles (if not more) this coming season.

Hunt and McMahon prob won't play this year besides special teams. I think Wilson is a long shot to make the roster. Still think it’s an A+ draft though

The way Howie Roseman drafts year in and year out really brings a tear to my eye. And I'm sorry, but on the Dejean evaluation I think the NFL and evaluators who had him low completely missed the mark on him. I think Sikkema was totally correct on Coop for four reasons: 1) People think he's slower and less fluid than he actually is because he's white. 2) He absolutely CAN stick at outside corner, especially in a system that favors zone. 3) Even if he can't stick at outside corner, Nickel is becoming an increasingly valuable position in the modern NFL, with 11 personnel rampant in today's league. For me its becoming a borderline premium position. And I have zero doubts about Cooper Dejean's ability to be an elite nickel. And 4) The fact that he could also be a high end safety should add to his value, not detract from it. He's not a tweener, he's a hyper-versatile player. The way Howie rebuilt this secondary in one draft is absolutely phenomenal.

Going forward, having Ringo and Mitchell at boundary, CJGJ at nickel, Dejean and Sydney Brown at safety, that’s a cost controlled and highly skilled set of DBs. If the eagles get near ceiling out of Devin White, I’d extend him a few more years, just to keep Dean off the field.

@@rupertpupkin2660 corners gets rotated, so they’ll need some subs, Rodgers is a solid nickel sub, Ricks and Garner on the boundary. Bradberry has got to be a post June 1 cut, he just is stealing playing time at this point. And Goodrich and Jobe really don’t have a role at this point.

@@AlaskaDuckDynasty For me it's gonna be like that: CB1: Slay/Ringo or Ricks (in the rotation), CB2: a Battle between Bradberry and Mitchell to be starter or in rotation, NCB Battle between Maddox and DeJean to be starter or in rotation, FS: Blackenship/Syndey Brown (in rotation) SS: CJGJ/DeJean (in the rotation). And for McPhearson or Isaiah idk, likely type of Special Teamer who can be in rotation if we have some injuries .

Ringo is NOT seeing the field over Isiah Rodgers. And sure Rodgers can play slot, but he’s primarily outside

I am French and can provide clarity on how to pronounce his name: First off, the ‘J’ gets pronounced the same way as in “Bijan” (no initial ‘d’ sound). The ‘De’ part sounds just like it does in the name “DeVonta.” *So basically take Bijan’s name and change the first part* -> “Dejan”. To get even more precise, the ‘n’ at the end is *not* a trailing “n” (like in “Etienne”). Rather, it ends the syllable with a nasal ‘n’, but this sound/phoneme is not used in the English language.

Eagles went from worst Secondary to probably top 5??. Who gets traded... Who gets cut? If these rookies ball out I wonder if they would trade Slay?? Regardless heres there CBs... 1.Darius Slay 2.James Bradberry 3.Quinyon Mitchell 4.Cooper Dejaun 5.Isaiah Rodgers 6.Kelee Ringo 7.Avante Maddox 8.Eli Ricks 9.Josh Jobe If im a team that lacks secondary im calling The Eagles to see who I could pry away from them...

Dejean is not playing safety. We already have Blankenship, brown, and cjgj. And the corners will most likely rotate throughout games until one of the young guys prove they can start every down.

@@sirfish9824 Reed is a good third safety. Brown hasn't learned the position yet and CJ is a low tier safety. Dejean would be an upgrade. Slay and Rodgers will start at outside CB

Anyone panning the DeJean pick…idk what you’re watching. “The tape is irrelevant” okay…then what are we supposed to watch to scout? You want to point to his athleticism? He had a RAS of 9.89, that’s higher than Kyle Hamilton, who you brought up as being the prototype for what DeJean could be… I mean, what are we even doing here?

The Jaylyx Hunt pick still kills me. No way this kid was a 3rd round pick. Then again, im not a scout so what tf do I know? I just do not think by the time his rookie contract is up that he will be on the Eagles. I hope he is a star and that I',m wrong but I just do not see it.

Who gives a damn what Chris Sims thinks, he doesn't know anything anyway. Mediocre College career at Texas. And no career to speak of in the NFL. Why do people keep bringing his name up sighting him as knowledgeable? I don't get that.
