This song is very easy to be overlooked on the great “But Seriously” CD. The line “There was always something more important to do, more important to say”. “But I love you wasn’t one of those things, and now it’s too late”. Reminds me of my late Mom. We had a good relationship but I moved several hours away the last 20 years that she was alive. I tried to call and visit as much as I could, but now feel that I could have said I love you more. She passed away 5 years ago and hearing that line tore me apart. I love you Mom always and forever.

This will forever remind me of my 1st wife who passed away in 2014. I never lived up to the expectations I set for myself as a husband. I tried but not hard enough. I think of our young son who will never know his biological mom the way I did.
