Thank you - it depends on the song. I choose sounds I feel serve the 'spirit' of each song, so I don't pay any particular attention to genre. I and my studio team spend a lot of time searching for the right sounds. This song uses bass synths (about three of them combined), an electric guitar - though it's quiet in the mix, harpsichord, choir, a whole string section, drum-kit, electro beats and other synth sounds here and there...I wanted to capture the frenzy of fear & trying to escape in this x

This problem, genre, has plagued me for a long time. I've wanted to try singing but my genre preferences are so varied that it would make a really strange album.
