My form teacher at high school was an extraordinary lady named 'Eileen Pender'- an unfortunate moniker for someone who spends their days trying to give a bunch of feral teenagers an education perhaps. I used to give a rendition of the original version twice a day (3 times a day if I happened to have her science class). I spent easily the first 3 yrs at highschool banished to the hallway, sometimes before I even opened my mouth lol. When I moved into my fourth year she took me aside and asked if I was going to stop any time soon. I said I really wanted to say yes but invariably someone would start the tune, someone else would stamp their feet or clap their hands, as for the rest they just joined in when the fancied, so really it was impossible. She looked me in the eye and said if I was cruising form time so was she and would pour a coffee and get into her crossword puzzles, however, If they headmaster happened to hear - or worse head of discipline Mr Pain. (not kidding that was his name and job title)we were on our own. To the woman and the legend...COME ON EILEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
