should be seen by the Tate and Boston etc. for them to reflect on their reactionary decision to pull the retrospective.

Absolutely agree. That decision was a joke and a sad sign of what I’m sure is to come

Deeply infuriating and very reactionary. It was my pleasure to point this out on the Tate's Instagram account until rhey blocked my comments.

That may be the truth, still a very interesting artist. Bold too, to depict Nixon as a dickhead was not only accuratte.

Nixon did the following: 1] ended the Viet Nam war (maybe not as fast as he should have, but he did) 2] ended the draft (gross civil rights violation re young men) 3] put forth the Nixon Doctrine, which said the US would support its allies, but not commit ground forces [Iraq, Afghanistan etc would have been impossible] 4] opened diplomatic relations with China 5] created better relations with the Soviet Union 6] established the Environmental Protection Agency...one could go on. So what did PG dislike about him? He wanted more Viet Nam? more draft? [of course it didn't affect him]. No, when Nixon did those first three things listed above, the CIA/DOD wanted him removed, or dead. So Guston was falling in line with the other CIA controlled "intelligenstia". Jerk.
