My brother Philip and I travelled together to his cattle post where he attended to his flock consisting of cows, goats sheep, and horses. @mylifeafterretirement also explored another side of village life

Reminds of my youth...as a herdgirl. Everyone of them cows and oxen had names. Hahaha

This is what my dad used to buy for the cattle to lick too, but I hardly see farmers doing this any longer especially in winter

He has one big one , a small one for new comers and another for horses. He also has a space for dipping

Oh by the way they dip the animals themselves in your country. Unlike us where it’s provided by government for each community and nowadays they run out of the dipping chemicals

Sometimes there are people along the main roads that sell cattle manure but Botswana has in excess of it due to the number of livestock
