He breathes and lives the blues yet jerk off bedroom players brush him aside and claim he’s just a copy cat of srv and Jimi Sayce is one of the baddest blues men on this planet ranks higher than Mayer gales and shepherd in my book
@Diax13246 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter how good someone is at the blues, the blues just isn't coming back like it did in the 90s/early 2000s. He's fucking amazing, but he needs to do something different. His voice and playing are exceptional, but honestly his music is not going to be captured by most audiences other than people who really dig blues.
@musicproductioncentral45406 жыл бұрын
Jerk off bedroom players have no affect on his career. Wether you like it or not, he is indeed an SRV clone= Same tone, same licks, he even makes the same faces for christs sake. There's nothing wrong with loving SRV and wanting to play just like him. I think its awesome, and he does it really well. But its not a career anymore. Even guys like Kenny Wayne Shepard who made a career out of being an SRV clone have at least tried to move on and develop their own voice. Phil is great, but at the end of the day, there are thousands of guys out there that can play the SRV bag to a tee. Its just not a rare skill anymore.

Stevie Ray Vaughn was 100% looking down on this, and loving every second of it. From 1:50 on, you could have fooled me into thinking he was the one playing (except for the few shred sections here and there, and the signature Sayce bends), and that is a pretty huge compliment no matter who it's coming from!

In Joe's defense he has had him on his blue cruise once, maybe twice. But yes, Philip Sayce and Jared James Nichols deserve a hell of a lot more from the "marketing industry". it's sad real talent is barely sometimes from a random related video.
