Perfect, thanks Philip, this really helps! I was always a bit confused between the two and tend to use the high resolution tool in Pixelmator, but I also use Kittl to vectorise sometimes. I just subscribed to Adobe Illustrator and it's a bit of a learning curve, but I'm getting there, thanks to your videos

Thanks great video. You didn't mention background removal. Some ai generated art makes background removal difficult. Converting ai art to vectors doesn't always ensure it is easy to remove the background. Is it always necessary to remove the background or are you seeing pod designs without the background removed? What prompts make it easier to allow backgrounds to be removed? Have you done a video on this?

Great Great video and very well explained! I wanna ask you, if you upscale a an image the DPI stands the same(I think). Is it ok to change this DPI with photoshop or Inkscape? I wanna create digital wall art prints.

Hi Philip I love your content so thank you so much. I just started using flying upload and got a bunch of designs onto tostadora today. My account shows that I have 433 items for sale but when I click the shop link they don't show on the store. In your experience, does it take a while for items to show on the store after upload automation?

Midjourney has now upgraded to upscale x4, suitable for digital images and printing. If you need to edit an image, simply upscale it and then use vectorize conversion! Thanks Philip 😘

never thought that when I bought CorelCraw back in 2009 it will make perfect tool for cleaning AI images. I know not many people uses this program (when I was learning graphic design Illustrator was only for Mac 😊)

Thanks for the video Philip but I'm now confused! If I'm generating T-Shirt artwork on say Leonardo or Dalle-3 and then importing those images into Kittl to make my final design. Do I need to vectorize the jpgs first?

Midjourney got the update of upscaling image now. You can upscale upto 4x in midjourney itself.

The best method to decide is buy 2 shirts and compare the final print result, if the upscaled image give satisfied results no need for vectorizer. for me I'm using some photoshop tools to fix IA images and make it illustrated look + recolored. the result is almost perfect with some images.

I would like to know how to design for an all over print item….like a shirt. What I am wondering if how to put a pattern on it plus adding one large image to the front or back, like the 4500x5400 size image with a seamless pattern in the background, with one large image on the front or back, that doesn’t repeat. Do you happen to have a video like that? I am not sure how to do it, without repeating the large image, too, but I only want that on there once. I hope you understand what I am saying. 😂 Thanks for this video, I have been thinking about vectorizing vs upscaling, lately. I want to make customizable products, for Etsy, eBay, etc, and I was wondering if a person sends me an image, will the upscaler work for their photos, or should I just edit them myself?

I think I know what you mean and you could do that through printful / printify with their all over print products. Just add a pattern, turn on repeat and then add an additional design to the front. You can use upscalers if your customers send images that are too low resolution

i noticed with upscalers that they remove the grainyness as well. i have a watercolour image with beautiful watercolour strokes nursery style, and it just blurs them. i am trying to create wall art for print on demand and it looks meh. the vectoriser separates the colours which is also not what I want. what would be my best option?

upscalers like dgb have a bunch of different models, some of which would not blur the image but make it sharper. You will just have to test your image with different models and see which works best in your case

Vectors tend to be smaller than raster images. Not sure why exactly but it's normal
