I don't like it being called a "Philippine" traditional music because that would mean it's Filipino, and this is the music of the Maranao Tribe of the Moro People, which are in the Bangsamoro Autonomous region. We never became subjects of the Spanish Empire. The word Filipino was given to the Subjects of the Spanish Empire, which are only in the Luzon and Visayas Islands not us. I'm so tired of the Philippines milking our culture and tradition for their own benefit only. Ever since the forceful integration of the Moros in the Philippines, we have been treated harshly by the government and subjected to being 2nd class citizens in the country. Plus the previous harsh and inhuman attempts to subjugate us into submission, and the widespread land grabbing of our lands which the PH government supported. Not once has the government did anything to favor us. So stop appropriating our culture as Filipino, because it's not. Di niyo pumbtowi ah ginawa iyo ah Filipino ka naba tano siran. Naba tano mimbabaloy a uripon oh pud a taw.
