A fervent admirer of Philippe Jaroussky for many years I continually marvel at the beauty and purity of his voice and his talent for interpreting any piece, be it in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German... But here in this recording how can one immerse oneself totally in the song with so many cuts back and forth between different setups. I can only imagine this was an aesthetic choice. I dread to think it was just cobbling together the best vocals lifted from successive takes! Having seen Jaroussky in concert I know he's capable of nailing brilliantly anything in one take... Please, Warner Classics, let him do just the same in these promotional clips.

@NoWorries although the recording quality isn't the best, still it's much better than performances than this. For example: perfect old English, a deep counter voice, a renaissance lute etcetc
