Philippians - Paul’s letter to his partners Episode 17 Cast your cares away Philippians 4:6 be careful for nothing Careful means to be anxious about the NIV says uneasy , apprehensive , .. about a matter or worry We shouldn’t care for nothing that you careful about many things . And also in John 14:1 Jesus says the night before his crucifixion he said the same thing Let not your heart be troubled You are not to be careful for nothing How do you do this By prayer and supplication Phil3:3 it is we , not they , who have received the true circumcision , for we worship God by means of his spirit and rejoice in our life in union with Christ Jesus It is just taking God’s responsibility more than anybody else . This is my first worry how do O pay This this verse take care for nothing Amen thank you Jesus 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your care upon him 1 Peter 5:6 humble yourselves then , under God ‘s mighty hand so that he will lift you up in his own good time . Most people see these verse as disjoint If you worry for nothing Then this saying you have not humbled yourselves Only if you let go of your worries You will have what God has for you In the abundant life If it is his bill he will pay for it Amen thank you Jesus Withthanksgiving Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise Psalm 100: 4 Give thanks to him and give him praise . If you start and end with thanksgiving you abound in faith You got to magnify with thanksgiving to the lord the answer Then you are abounding in faith You don’t magnify your problems Peace is linked with Isaiah 26:3 I have the peace in This verse I have not had any example of the Vietnam war It is not inconsistent to what I say in the verse Isaiah 26:3 Thou hath perfect peace whose mind has stayed upon him because you believeth in him . You got not go by what you feel but go by what the word of God says . It Minister to us the example the many , many , illustration you have given us . To be carnally minded is death To be spiritually minded is life and peace Philipppians 4:6 And 1 Peter 5:7 make the supplication known with thanksgiving it will cause the superpower of peace to abound in faith . Philippians 4:8 In conclusion my brothers , fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise : things that are true , noble , right , pure , lovely , and honourable . Whatever things focus your attention on the word of God which is true , just honest , lovely When you don’t see these things working in your life you need to walk away from all the wrong things Amen thank you Jesus Awesome , Awesome Power in the word of God . Praise the lord and thank the lord
