I actually googled, "scripture reading slow" so I could ponder as you read. So glad I found this. I hope you do more. I like the light music but so much the more abstract in the beginning. Thanks for doing this and I hope you do more as well.

THANK YOU Thank you thank you thank you thank you. When we hear scripture, we are to ponder it. Meditate on it. This allows us to sink it deep into our being. The slower, the better. The music isn't really necessary, because when we are listening, we are attentive to each word that is being spoken. Each word has importance. The Holy Spirit placed each word there to convey much meaning. When read together, and as you are doing, as read in the whole letter, we can gain much discernment. In my own life, I have wanted so much to get back to reading my bible more than my devotionals or listen to messages. But I struggled with the enormity of the whole bible and where to go in it. You, my friend, I have not found till now. But this is what I need. And, if you would consider it, somehow, even a meditation video. Which means slower and repeating the verse. Thank you, man. Speak onward!

Yeah we've been pretty busy with other stuff but I hope to do some more readings. I don't remember the level of the music but we try to keep it very low. Will also do versions without music.

Thanks Minister C for reading slowly & clearly. During this particular reading of Philippians.. to me.. the music was in some parts a little too loud and distracting. Just parts of it. The loudness would ebb and flow. Perhaps it’s fine for others. Otherwise.. perfect.

I am guessing its new king James? It's the only version that is in the public domain so it's not copyrighted. Automated sensory Meridian response. It's an automatic response to calm voices or certain sounds. General results in a person feeling calm. Doesn't work the same for everyone but it is wildly exploited on KZbin! Some people really enjoy Listening to whispered voices.
