I don't go to the Philippines a lot, but I get REALLY pumped up from the four hour road trip to LAX from San Diego, to the Airplane boarding part! I even have certain songs that remind me of those moments !

NAIA 2 was designed as a domestic terminal but is being used for international flights. Congestion is always an issue. Passengers to North America have to got through another documents check (and hand-carry baggage inspection) and are cordoned off until boarding time. Thanks for the video - you look like you enjoy these trips a lot. MNL-YVR is not my favorite part of a Philippines vacation (you know, leaving family and long time friends). YVR-MNL is the most exciting part - I could stay at YVR for 6 hrs no problem. :-)

I work at the yvr for air canada, and i noticed the PAL 777 continues on to Toronto and back again to vancouver then to manila. great to know they fly to Toronto now.

Hey, I remember when I first started watching your videos before my first flight to the Philippines from Salt Lake City, Utah in May 2014. Since then I made 3 trips to Negros Occidental. I have a flight next month leaving Salt Lake City Utah to Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines on October 8, 2016, arriving in the Silay airport on Sunday Morning October 9, 2016. I am so excited to fly directly from San Francisco to Manila, then my luggage all the way to my destination.

I will be taking that same flight March 22 this year (2014). Never travelled to Philippines before. I am flying to GenSan from England a month earlier but flying onto LA via Vancouver. Airline looks OK, nothing amazing but, yours is the best video I have seen of Manila airport and the procedures so, huge thanks for that! I'll have a selection of flights on my trip. Flying Emirates to Dubai then Philippines airlines to Manila/GenSan, a quick Ceby Air to Cebu and back then this flight and an Air Canada to LAX flying back to England via Stockholm in Sweden! They were the cheapest flights!

I'm a Filipino that grew up in MNL, but went to the ISM. I live in NYC and travel a lot to and fro. We also have a house in SoCal so I go to CA a lot. I've never had the displeasure of flying PAL internationally. The longest I've flown on them was RPLL to RPVM. That flight was sufficient enough to endure whatever shortcomings PAL has. I've heard their 77Ws are really nice. In the meantime, I'm sticking with CPA.

@poulgo we just booked a flight on PAL SFO-MNL on the boeing 777-300er plane. paid a bit extra for row 61 bulkhead (1st row of the 3rd cabin). can you remember if the seats on that row reclines a lot? or just like the standard economy? they said there's more legroom but that's not helpful if it's the same amount of recline as economy. I watched your PAL vlogs but couldnt see the row i wanted.

A nice video, I just remember 20 yrs ago when we take off from NAIA, a feeling of loneliness because I will miss my country and the love ones we left behind. But when we arrive in YVR I cannot explain the feeling of excitement and disbelief that God bring us to this beautiful country Canada. Really a dream come true. When we arrive, it was fall a month of September and winter time comes in November, for the first time in my life I walk and feel in my hand and face the actual snow flakes falling in my face and touched in my hand the white snow around me. The first word I say: Thank you Lord, we Praise you for all this blessings. So until now, I always say the same prayers all over again. I am so thankful that you share to us this video, you have a very nice camera, I wish I will learn how to use that hi-tech computers and camera you are using, maybe I will try to learn more. I have flown on pal only once. Back in 2009 from LAX to MNL. Going was nice comfortable fleight on an Airbus. But the trip back on a 747. I think it gives a whole new meaning to cattle class. Cramped, no leg or elbow room. Most uncomfortable trip ever back. And for shades down on take off? Whats that about?
