@@TheReclusiveTenor their tones in this best rendition reminds me of my fave Stabat mater by pergolesi sang by ricciarelli and valentini. Kinda same feels. Beautifully haunting. Baka di pa din ulit pinapanganak yung makakagawa ng ganyang same rendition and feels ng Ili-Ili! Haha.

1973 ito rinecord. No credited soloists sa liner notes, but somewhere sa comments nandyan yung mga nabobosesan nung mga alumni na involved sa recording hehehehe

@@TheReclusiveTenor I got this from the most authoritative source. The first soprano was Imelda Ongsiako, the alto was Ligaya Quinito and the second soprano was Andrea Veneracion.

The recording at the CCP would be either in 1973 or early 1974. Because Bess de Guzman with Fabian, Joey, Edwin (of the UP Madz) were sent to NY in Summer 1974 to perform at the 5th Avenue NY Philippine Center with the Folk Arts Theater Group. It could be a recording before or after the 1973 World Tour of the Madz.

Urban legend has it that the duet is by Ma'am I.O. (Ongsiako) and Ma'am OA, and the alto is Ma'am Gay (Quinitio). But I'm not sure kung sino yung mga nag solo talaga LOL

So the video was forwarded to the Madz alumni group chat, and the older alumni had a very interesting discussion on who the soloists were. It turns out it's Tita Vina (Gonzales), Ma'am IO, and Ma'am Gay, while the obbligato was by Bess de Guzman-Valenzuela hehehehe
