Gosh, the Philippines is definitely our long-lost brother. Although we don't understand each other (even both Tagalog and Bahasa Indonesia is very similar), i can simply pronounce every words in Tagalog without effort, vice versa. Mabuhay Pilipinas! Greetings from Jakarta.

Actually our second language that we use here in Philippines is Visayan which is very similar accent to Bahasa when we spoke English words
@chainedangel78952 жыл бұрын
It's because Indonesians are one of our ancestors who went in the Ph on their balangays. Early Filipinos that from indo race speak bahasa. Later on the language evolved but most retained it's root word and it's meaning like the bahasa word buka = open is also buka = open in tagalog but actually evolved to bukas = open. Bahasa word makan = food is also makan = food buts evolved to makain. Fun fact: our indo ancestors settled in central Luzon. On the present The Cordilleran region and Ifugaos are their descendants
Ilokano dialect from Philippines has so many similarities with Your language.

What sets Filipino performers apart is their ability to engage and unite with their audience. This affinity stems from the broader Asian ethos of harmony. When entertaining, the aim is to create a collective euphoria; the joy is shared, not solitary. Unlike typical performances where a clear demarcation exists between the performer and the observer, in Filipino culture, it is viewed as a collaborative venture. This communal spirit is vividly showcased at concerts where it's commonplace for Filipino audiences to sing along with artists, fostering a lively shared experience. Although, we also understand contextual propriety, like in more formal settings like operas or choir performances, where such interactions are not appropriate.
