I was able to go to Sumilon Island as a teenager (1977) and then as a college student (1981) before there was a resort on it. Taal Volcano erupted in Jan-2020 which vaporize the lake inside the island, covered it all with ash, and killed a lot of livestock. No one is allowed there for now.
