so good to see PH growing so fast and so many great townships all over the country. I think what the government needs to improve are the airports, the roads (esp in the provinces), the DPWH is not really doing so great - sinisira ang mga kalsada na d pa naman sira, tpos ang tagal maayos. But hopefully, the government can address this. So far, ang laki na nang progress, sana tuloy2 na tayo!

Actually, the 15 min City concept is better. Everything, jobs, shops, hospitals, schools, homes, etc should be within 15 minutes walk. Too much time wasted on travelling. Driving, even train travel is becoming obsolete. New concept is cycling to everywhere. Norway, Finland, Sweden. Clean air. No pollution.

A develop country means it has good water supply, housing for the poor is decent, paved and level sidewalks and roads all over the country. Employment with good benefits required. Faster services. But Thailand has no cities that have any kind of real development outside of Bangkok the trains in Thailand are all thanks to China same with Malaysia if China wasn't trying to connect itself with SE Asia all the way to Singapore none of those railways would exist, the expressways are easier to get up and running on non archipelagos so that's a dumb knock anyways, Thailand is unimpressive outside of Bangkok people seem to of all countries not give PH any time, Thailand and Malaysia or any SE Asian nation has ever had to connect islands so far apart with bridges, so it's unreasonable to compare nations on continental Asia to the only completely remote part of Asia except Maldives with something like connectivity when the country is far from connected.

family planning specially for the lower income sector and make sure their kids are educated and become highly skilled so they don't repeat the cycle. wages are still too low. wages won't go up and food prices will continue to go up if population keep increasing but supply is not. local purchasing power is what needs to improve so that people are not enticed to go abroad. If the govt. can improve standard of living with moderate cost of living and keeping the nature intact then Phils is paradise to live. It won't happen if it's over populating.

How old are you? or are you even educated enough. Your understand of economy is grade 1 level at best. First, let me address your stupidity. Saying that China, India etc will become biggest economy does not mean much. It just means that with their population, the amount on consumerism will also be high eventually when everyone starts living by US standards. And that counts in sizing economy. But it does not mean GDP per capita will increase. or even standard of living improves. Take note that with every cyclical consumption, resources are being used (they are not born out of thin air). We have finite resource (in tagalog para maintindihan mo, lahat ng bagay nauubos ex isda, langis, palay etc unless we sustain it properly). Not to mention, Philippines has small land size so we should make our resources sustainable not just for the sake of increasing money circulation which is what this economy measures. Second, the population has a direct effect on GDP per capital. GDP per capita is what we should increase (not necessarily GDP). We have the same GDP(economy size) as Denmark but GDP per capita of Denmark is more than 20 times that of Philippines. So it just partly means that with fewer population, resources can be distributed better than chunking it up in smaller pieces to accomodate all. Should I explain this more? In regards to Japan and China on some level, their population is old hence they want to sustain it for the next generation. Typically, it can be solved as well by loosening immigration but China/Japan would rather have their own people reproduce. It has very little to do with the economy. So if population of Philippines continues to drop on a sustainable level until we reach ~60 mil (my estimation), then it would be better. Lastly, I am not even discussing the possibility of the upcoming technology which would make a lot of the jobs obsolete by automation, AI etc. How else would you sustain if a big part of our population depends on those jobs that will be obsolete? I hope you understand na kaya nag aabroad ibang pinoy eh wala ng trabaho dito? So, in summary, yes, we need to make sure our population size is just enough to sustain our future, resources and improve our standard of living. Ika mo nga, gamitin natin utak natin !
