They will not ask you anything especially money but extending coming from your heart is acceptable. It's our nature Filipinos to extend our help to our parents. We love our parents very dearly. If we have extra money we help also our brothers and sisters it's not a compulsory but it is showing how we love our family. Family is family especially if full of love and respect. You’re doing a great job having her understand both cultures. I’m came here when I was 2 yrs old. I would love to live in the Philippines but it’s a lot of work. It may seem cheaper for certain things, but you need a steady income to be honest . Their system are still old school in some places. Then depending on the family and how they are Filipino tends to always ask for help in regards to money or what not. Not all of them but sometimes it happens. My Filipino parents didn’t raise me that way, they wanted me to be responsible, but not responsible for other people unless it’s my own family. I help my remaining family in the Philippines here and there because I want too but they never ask us for money or guilt trip us. There’s pros and cons in Philippines cultures but one thing I admire about us is that we never give up on life, no matter how hard things get. We always do our best to get through it. I love America, I agree it’s not the same but I hope it will be great again. I don’t think I can live in the Philippines forever, but always great to visit. America is my home, but I’ll never forget my roots. If I didn’t have the life I have here I wouldn’t be able to help my families back home. Thank you USA ❤

@@Its_OHaNa agree 💯, I don't know if I'll die there or here. Depends on my daughter's really. One in America 24, and the little one here. Will have to see how things play out. I don't know yet to be honest. But I do know I need to let the little one learn her background for a while.

I feel you brother about the USA ! I was born in 1958 , in Camden, NJ. I had a wonderful childhood. But that kind of childhood is gone, and will never be back. Camden NJ is the most unsafe city in NJ and has been going down hill since then. I too am a very proud American, and I can't stand when someone tries to put her down. But don't worry about Kieri. She is smarter then us, quicker then us. I know just leaving is heavy on your heart , with your mom and family here. But Your secret weapon is Adelyn , she is your bridge . What a loving Mom. Bottom line, ALL you both can do, is what you are doing now . Show Kieri what it is to be raise up in a house of love . Cuz that is all she needs. Don't over think it. The Phils , are a restart of the USA. Maybe as much as 50 years ago. My Dad was in WWII in the navy and landed in Leyte. To free the Philippines. So one of my golds is to walk a mile in his shoes and visit Maybe live. I would love to meet another proud american like you one day in the Phils there, have a cup of coffee With your loving family by your side.

She is a very strong and consistent partner and she loves being a mom. I'd hate to spend the next 10 years figuring it out and not have kinda vlogged pr documented it all and able to look back. Greeting Jay I agree with you a lot of what you had to say in this video. I met my girlfriend my future wife. My first visit to the Philippines I felt all the stress go away as soon as I landed. I will I was nervous meeting her family they made me feel so welcome and made me feel real welcome and even though her mom and dad English is not so good we still find a way to communicate and have fun. I would say what I love the most is they are fun we joke with each other on our different levels of communication. I always teased them about how we give each other nose bleeds trying to speak each others language when we don’t know the word for each other language. I’m only 34 and I have a ways to go before I retire. However now I’m making the changes in my career that’s going to allow us the ability to move back and forth between places two to three months at a time so we can spend time with both our families so as we grow our family once start trying here soon after we get married. Also I’m Proud to be an American is my favorite song.

My current job I’m on call for a week at a time and it makes it hard to set time aside to do the things we like to do sometimes. That’s my biggest reason in making my career transition. Definitely will keep in touch. Look forward to your next video. You and your wife make a great team on your KZbin channel. Chat with you later God bless.

Flying isn't always comfortable but that's part of traveling to see the world. I can see that your seat is too small for you so I suggest choosing the bulkhead seats when flying internationally even if you're paying a bit more at least you'll be comfortable because it's the best seat for tall folks like us! Anyway, although the flight there can be tiring, I believe your daughter will be thankful when she gets older because she's connected to her mother's culture. It's very hard for children that are biracial or multiracial like me to find your place but being able to connect with both parents cultures really help in understanding one's self. I'm 27 years old, 1/4 Filipina and half American. We are already exposed to Filipino culture at home (we're fluent in Tagalog and bisasay) but we moved to the Philippines when I was 6 because my American father believed that it would be a great opportunity for his children to immerse in the culture first hand. We lived in Luzon and Visayas for 5 years. We made so many friends that we still keep in touch with until now. Some are already living in the US so they visit my parents often lol. But I'm so grateful for my parents for teaching to appreciate our cultures/heritages.
