Dear Basher 😎 The Philippines was occupied by the Spanish for more than 300 years, dated 1500 to 1898 and the cession by Spain of the Philippines to the United States, dated 1898 to 1946, occupied for 48 years, A 1947 Military Bases Agreement gave the United States a 99-year lease on a number of Philippine military and naval bases in which U.S. authorities had virtual territorial rights. Spanish counting system, calendar, time, etc. Taglish or Englog is code-switching and/or code-mixing in the use of Tagalog and English, the most common languages of the Philippines. The words Taglish and Englog are portmanteaux of the words Tagalog and English. As early as 1600 A.D. Filipinos traveled around the world, that is why most Filipinos have Spanish, American, European and, of course, Asian BLOOD. And also, most half Filipino or mixed foreign blood in their childhood abroad are bullied in western countries, but every time they visit the Philippines they are very well appreciated. But sadly, until now, they were kinda questioned, insulted, bullied and discriminated around the globe, just because of winning the World Cup football game. Actually what happened is a Filipino living in the states scouted alot of college talents who have Filipino blood - half/half. There were also help from various Filipino communities in the states and one of them is Olivia McDaniel's parent who's mother is a Filipino. The database where then sent to the Phil. Football Federation and they sent one of their officials to the US to have a try-outs and to convince these college athletes. And the rest is history! Also FYI, the Philippines adheres to the principle of jus sanguinis, which recognizes citizenship based on parental lineage. As long as you can provide the necessary documentation to establish your Filipino mother's citizenship, you can be recognized as a Filipino citizen. So the whole idea of being born in the PH just to prove you're a Filipino is BS to alot of us because Filipinos are all over the world.

Of course dual citizenship ultimately qualifies you to the team. Pablo is just citing initial ways to sense who could be filipinos by just looking at them. Then they ask around if they have traces of filipino in them and so on and so forth. Pablo is right when he said we can radar a filipino.

The scout said it himself. The scout is a philippine born filipino but his family emigrated to the US when he was still young. They used that method but of course eventually it will boil down to papers. Their parents should be able to trace their roots back in PH. But a lot of this girls often have vacations in the philippines so it wasn't hard for them.

Buddy, Boldon looks more Filipino than me so she's a Filipina. And so I would love to have my 7 Philippine Boldon Jersey. As a Filipino, I never had any jersey. where almost all other country's have a foootbool jersey every time there's a game around. So I pray for one jersey. Actually, your statement isn't exactly correct. Sarina was in the poll for the U23 USA National Football Team training camp. So, indeed she is good enough to make the USA National Team!! As you may or may not know in the USA the Women's football team is 100 players deep at every position. So, your chances of getting on a steady diet of playing time for the National Team is damn near impossible and the waiting list really long. No matter how good you are! Trust me a lot of these your ladies are indeed good enough to make the roster. All these ladies for the Philippines Women's National Football Team have played some really high level football. 🎉 The fact that they got a win at the Women's World Cup shows that.. It was gritty, ugly, hard fought soccer. Take your hats off to the Filipinas 😊❤️🇵🇭
