Yes I want that too but how dare a lot of Thai people insult our people mock us and our candidates and say that we are pagpag country and that Anchilee is better than Beatrice. My country may be poor and experiencing a lot of hardships, divisions in our culture but we are much more than that we Filipino's have our own identity. It's so sad to see the before departure and home coming of Anchilee. Still want to visit Thailand someday. But I know for a fact that you can't deny our talent. We are both asian countries that should be happy and bring each other up enough with the crab mentality.

I really don't understand why people still compare Philippines and Thailand when it comes to pageant. Philippines is literally a second powerhouse with Venezuela being the first when it comes to number of crowns in Big 4 pageants- not mention the crowns from minor pageants. If people were to consider being an Asian, shouldn't they compare Philippines with India or Japan? They're really strong and has numerous placement in the pageant. Thailand is definitely getting better but I think they're not on the same foot as the Philippines yet- Indonesia or Vietnam would be a fair comparison.

Even a small percentage of Indian people watch pageant it is huge enough to cover an entire nation, because of your population. For me, it’s really a mismatch. Philippines and Thailand cannot be compared to each other, it will honestly be unfair for Thailand to be compared to powerhouse like Philippines since they are still on the process of establishing their country sash in Miss Universe. Miss Universe 2013, Venezuela Gabriela Isler is of Irish descent, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo has Latina blood in her. These people bash Philippines as if Philippines hasn't proven their power in the world of pageantry. Just to let you know, Shamcey Supsup from MU 2011, Janine Tugonon from MU 2012, Ariella Arida from MU 2013, Maxine Medina from MU 2016 and Beatrice Gomez from MU 2021, all landed in the top 6. At the turn of the millinium Asian queens were still not making noises, and still just had weaker sash factor. It was when Philippines Venuz Raj made an impact in 2010 that put Asian beauty in the spot light, and being noticed year after year, that give way to the rest of the Asian beauties being noticed.. Thailand followed Philippines popularity, Vietnam, Nepal and lately Singapore are making the cut... and India is bouncing back big time. Seems the Asian beauties are finding their confidence and are now coming on strong... they are now giving the erstwhile favored Latinas and everybody else a strong competition!

But sad to say it was trump era and the winner should have this VS supermodel look to win the crown if ever the one who manage the MU that time was IMG for sure both Ana and Lia will made it into the 1st cut.

Yes, I experienced that myself. Thais and Filipinos have very similar facial features. When I was in Bangkok, I had a friendly dinner date with a pretty and fair young Thai lady who looked like a pretty Filipina. She was introduced to me by a friend of my mother, also a Filipina, who owned a restaurant in the city at that time. I was also mistaken for a Thai because everywhere I went, people were speaking to me in Thai. Thais are very friendly and wonderful people if you really get to know them.

Other fans here tend to fight to show who's better than other. For me, Thailand and Philippines (All Asian in general) should unite when it comes to beauty pageant industry. BTW, Latinas are getting thrilled and threatened cuz this two countries always gives a good fight when MU competition comes, not to mention Vietnam, India and Indonesia. The thing about this pageantry is not really about the placement of each countries. I'd say that lashing each other's countrys out is rather a sing of enviousness. Most Asian people are expecting sisterhood between their very respective candidates and other Asian ones-for them who (mostly reasonable) are neighbours. No shading intention for the other party that mentioned in the vid against the Ph....but as I saw Miss Vietnam and Singapore 2gether with the Ph..I saw no envy or disappointment at all. Yes they were roommates but I personally think that it was because they know it themselves that supporting each other was the only best way they could provide and help spread the word 'friendship' for each generation as well to do the same. Just hope every one as well to not think Thailand aren't worth to win the crown cause every country are deserving...it's just a matter of time. Peace 2 U all✌️ xx
