it was a huge culture shock for me too, but it truly makes you thankful for what you got. oh my cousin dressed like benji too! cut off shirts, basketball shorts and flip flops!! we called him native the whole time!!

I'm a Filipino and have been to Mexico 3 yrs ago and I totally agree with Benjie's comment. When I saw the clip from 1:18 to 1:33, it exactly reminded me of Mexico!

Hihihi i was there from dec 11- jan 15 2011. It was a humbling, eye opening and enjoyable experience of life in the Philippines.I have been to all the majaor Islands except Palawan and Ilo ILO.Been to Nothern Mindanao, Cebu, Bohol, Camiguin and Manila.Whilst people are struggling in Philippines there are developement and improvements.1 step at a time.

i'm filipino and i've been to the philippines every other year since i was born. i know there are beautiful place in PI, however there are some not so pretty places. honestly, it was kind of disrespectful how benji said it was the mexico of asia. he was kind of mocking and making fun of the neighborhoods and streets there. it's not glamorous but it's more than just the appearance. the people there are extremely nice and hospitable. i love it and miss it.

Incase you didn't know, the PH was conquered by the Spanish back in the 1500s to the late 1800s. Mexico was also conquered by the Spanish. So they are both definitely similar in culture. The part that Benji showed us was just a local area in the city so don't just think that Mexico looks exactly what Benji showed you. I grew up in the PH and I've been to jaw-dropping places. I'm pretty sure Mexico has its own beautiful wonders too. So please, CHILLAX And don't get so offended easily :|
