Yes correct, for text sizes you use sp, which will differ depending on the user's font size preference. AFAIK you can also declare sizes in a dimens xml file and for that you can use qualifiers as well

will it automatically choose the qualifier based on the emulator device you're testing? I added a qualifier with screen width of 400 and height of 800. But when I run the app using emulator with size 3.7", it still used the default xml. it didn't use the qualifer 400x800.

It will be really helpful if you could explain the same with a recycler view . When we are creating layout for a single recycler view item, is there any way to accomplish the same without hard coding the h&w of the parent layout. If I need a vertical recycler view , constraining the width of the image with guide % and height with constraint dimensions ratio and then just setting the height of parent as wrap content is gonna work ? 🤔 I remember trying it once and doesn't works for me .
