I've the 2000i in AU (Got it on sale on Amazon) and it is a great unit but the all in one filter is annoying I've had it for about 8 months and the filter is at 62% life remaining. I've two other air purifiers that are AU designed and built (Innovair) that are hospital grade and the pre-filter, HEPA13 filter and carbon filter are are separate and they work incredibly and the HEPA lasts 3-5 years, the carbon is 2.5KG and lasts up to 2 years and the pre-filter lasts up to 6 months and you just replace it as it wraps around the HEPA filter and it gets really disgusting after 6 months but they're cheap to replace. Also have a Dyson which has their glass HEPA filter which isn't the best, I'd put the Dyson at the bottom, then the Phillips and the best are the two Innovair hospital grade units. Great review!

Thanks James and it’s good to hear my theory matched your experience. I do think it’s a much better at cleaning the air than the Dyson l. The Innovair, sounds a great unit I hope I can get a model to test in future. Will do a little research to see if they can send one to the UK.

Got a 3000i at £269 on amazon, I'm impressed so far, clear lack of dust buildup, my asthma symptoms have improved & as I have two budgies that produce loads of feather dander I was surprised to see how much less dust there was on surfaces. Had a 2000i for a year or so, got that on sale as well. The filter running costs, going by how much the percentage drops over the course of a month they should last around 2 years.

That’s a good price ! Glad it’s working well for you. Glad to hear your estimate for the filters as that is really good.

You can add as many on or off automatic schedules as you wish. You just tap the plus button to add another. If you tap the ‘on’ you will see an option for ‘off’. Soon becomes self explanatory.
@HouseFreshАй бұрын
Ah yes you can do it like that but I had assumed the app would follow the same process as the Hue lights which to me is a little easier. Any more feedback from your Phililps 3000i?
@PetedelАй бұрын
No. Just trying to help. Mines a 2000i unit. Does exactly the same but doesn’t have a gas particle reading, despite being able to remove gasses.
@HouseFreshАй бұрын
@@Petedel appreciate it . Strange that the 2000i doesn’t show the gas levels but I personally find those type of sensors far less useful than particle sensors.

I suspect the price fluctuation has something to do with the Philips 3200 being release, which will supersede the 3000. I’m waiting on this new 3200 model, max db is 47.5 in turbo mode!

Ah interesting I didn’t know this was coming out, will look to test when it’s available. I do notice some brands play with price more than others as I have also seen Dyson doing this in marketplaces.

Excellent video!! Can you please recommend an air purifier with high cadr and purification - more on the eliminating the odours ( cooking , mildew, etc) side. The levoit 600s , winix zero s, philips 3256 are not eliminating it. My first purifier was a meaco 119x5 . In the first week i was getting fresh air ( like the montain fresh air- not exaggerating) but after that ,I didn’t get the same results even with a new set of filters. Now the levoit 600s has a nice cadr but I feel that its just moving the air (not purifying it). The winix zero s is faster in detecting it ( even if the levoit shows a great air , winix is still working hard) - both in the same room. The philips is detecting the bad air , has the overpriced filters 1hepa ( ~£60) and 1 carbon (~£40) and the system is telling you to change the filters ( when they are not even gray) for nothing as its stays on 24/7 in the bedroom ( open the window for a few hours a days) and doesn’t purify anything- it feels like the window wasn’t opened for a month). Now, what purifier would you recommend?
@HouseFreshАй бұрын
@@andruskyg.8836 if those are not working for you then I would look at something with a higher level of carbon. It’s not cheap or small but the iqair healthpro plus has 5lbs of carbon. The core 600s is great at particle removal but has a fairly small amount of carbons in the filter. There are also a growing interest in DIY for odors so using large carbon filter with a fan or pc fan. Not yet tested but this could be interesting as you could use in combination with your existing devices: smellaway.com/products/smell-away%C2%AE-odour-neutraliser-and-dust-remover If you get on be sure to let me know if it works for you.
@andruskyg.8836Ай бұрын
Thank you for your reply!! So you cannot recommend the Philips 3000i for this job
@andruskyg.8836Ай бұрын
Iqair was my first choice , but the price without filters ( used one) was around 600£ , than i moved my eyes to a Medify 112 ( using two sets of hepa and 2 of carbon and high cadr) but i read that ot will break and void the warranty if you don’t use original filters ( which are 135£). So i’ve bought the ones that i have now. And thinking to buy an extra one for living room to have the levoit600s and another one also with high cadr and good filtration ( without breaking the bank) ( winix zero s or philips 3000i- 200£ used with 94% left on the filter .. the new dyson big and quiet is too expensive to add it to my list)

Do we account for the better quality filter from Philip compared to other brands? Most brand filters promise 0.3 microns but Philip stated that they promise to filter most particles as small as 0.003 microns.
@HouseFresh2 ай бұрын
Yes I do discuss this in the video. Any particle filter even non-HEPA grade can achieve this level for very small particles so its not something unique to Philips. The reason that most brands give 0.3 microns as this is the size that is the hardest to deal with.
@raventhc88472 ай бұрын
@HouseFresh thank you for clarification.

Not tested yet but do have plans to before the end of the year. Just looking at the numbers it seems to high a price for the clean air delivery rate it gives. So dust CADR is 190 cfm for the Dyson BP06 according to EnergyStar: www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-room-air-cleaners/details/2448381 You can get 373 cfm with the Levoit Core 600S that I see on Amazon for 245 euros. You get much more overall power so will be able to leave it on a lower speed and get the same level of power that the Dyson model needs top speed to work. Or if you prefer looks you can get the Philips 3000i for 300 euros with a CADR of 306 cfm. So even at the lower price, i just don't think its worth it. Maybe it has great asthetics and Im sure the app is great but nothing on paper I can see make it worth such a high initial price tag.
