how is the ambiglow? I bought a monitor claiming it has this feature when sadly it doesn't, just a bunch of RGB presets.

Decent enough when wallmounted but sucks a foot away. The light isn't that dynamic, and shifts to only 7-8 colors but tries its best to adapt to the screen colors so it is functionally true ambiglow but sadly if the scene is half dark on one side and light on the other, its not that dynamic and will set towards only one. it works best on a dark wall or a dark room but other than its best to just turn it off

Can you use this as normal TV? Like channels?
@Back2gaming3 жыл бұрын
You'll need input devices that output via HDMI. Modern cable boxes should have it but for free TV, you'll need a signal converter

Hey great content I am looking for the best monitor for an Xbox series X as I normally play FPS like warzone and COD and occasionally enjoy RPGS would you recommend this over the ROG Strix XG43UQ Xbox Edition?

And what are your thoughts on the 34’ version of this TV the sound bar doesn’t really catch me as I am interested in buying an external speaker
@Back2gaming Жыл бұрын
@@CASHJOEYY depends on what you like. If you prefer the responsiveness, I think these types of monitors work best for COD/WZ but if you can splurge a bit more, the newer OLEDs are also a good pickup. The 32/34" version of this display, from what i can tell, is just a resize of this panel so I don't see any possible distinction from both of them except the size.

@@Back2gaming Thanks for the response man keep it up. OLED doesn't sound bad 🤔

Where can I buy this? I’m moving to Okinawa japan in November is it available there? Cause I haven’t found any in the United States.
@Back2gaming3 жыл бұрын
Right now I see it mostly in Southeast Asia, UK and the Middle East. Philips is a global brand though so there's a good chance it may be in Japan as well but I can't guarantee

How da hell is possible to turn on 4K 144Hz on this ? Tested already 3 different Display Port cables and black screen all the time.

@@mariuszhugon1651 that is peculiar, it should run out of the box on both devices, even my 2070 laptop runs 4k 144hz on this via displayport. does it show the refresh options in display settings?
@mariuszhugon16513 жыл бұрын
@@Back2gaming Only for HDMI ports it's possible to change refresh rate 120 - 144 Hz. But producent says that 144 Hz works only on DP on his website specification. Weird ;)

How’s this as a 4k monitor? Does it have HDMI 2.1
@Back2gaming3 жыл бұрын
Decent at 10 feet or more, I used it for group presentations but as a work monitor, its all about distance and working around Windows' poor 4K scaling. Otherwise, its just like any other monitor, just extra large.

I got the 558 (the version without 2.1 HDMI) - I intended and am running it over a 8k DP 1.4 cable. On the other end is a 3090. It's in use since april and 50% of it is for gaming. Before I had the Samsung g9 odyssey and changed it for the philips. And I love it - I got it mounted onto the wall approx 10 feet away. the only thing i realized was that a slight curve would be very usefull. Especially in these dimensions and at close distance ... but I luv it !! The G9 Odyssey sucked hard - am so happy thaht I changed ...
