Thanks for watching and kind words Jessica. Comotomo bottles are silicone made. See 2:30 in video. Yes, you can use it for them. Having said that it takes a minute or two extra to warm it up.

For breast milk bags: we used medela and it was fine. I would say most likely all approved brands should be ok as this bottle warmer goes as high as body temperature, so low very risk. Does it answer you question?

Hello there, is it safe to use the defrost function to thaw frozen milk that are kept in milk bags ? Or must it only be used on frozen milk in bottles ? Tqsm

Hello, we used Medela breast bag to unfreeze breast milk and it worked just fine. I am positive most breast bags are compatible as this does not make the milk hot. Never use Microwave to unfreeze breast milk though. Does it answer your question?

you don't want to keep the water for long, but it is ok to reuse the water for a short period of time. this water does not touch the milk

Thanks for watching and nice words Lily. We used milk bag to freeze breast milk. The timing can be very different as it depends on the volume and container type. I would say ~10 min. The important factor is not to warm breast milk higher than the body temperature as it reduces the nutrition. This bottle warmer is smart enough to do so just make sure to use the defrost setting. It first defrosts then keeps warm for about an hour automatically . Does it answer your question?

Unfortunately when I used it, I got 55c milk temperature. Seems like it doesn't max out at body temp which I thought it would for baby milk / food.

That is too warm, there seems to be a issue. some versions have an option to act as a sterilizer as well, it worth checking

Hi there, just now coming across this video because I’m looking for a faster way to heat my refrigerated bottled milk for my newborn. She has no patience when she’s hungry, and I haven’t been able to effectively use this warmer because it takes so long to heat up. Is there a fast way to get the warmer to heat the bottles?

Hi Alyssa, totally get the no patience when hungry part! What we did, was to put the frozen breast milk out of freezer ahead (either in the fridge or just in the kitchen counter) , so it would be unfrozen when i needed this ... If you thaw breast milk in the refrigerator, use it within 24 hours. Start counting the 24 hours when the breast milk is completely thawed, not from the time when you took it out of the freezer. Once breast milk is brought to room temperature or warmed, use it within 2 hours.... BTW, never ever microwave the breast milk. Does it help?

@@ArvinDaddy yes and no. It’s good to know for when I do thaw the frozen milk, but I mean milk that’s just in the fridge cold. The warmer isn’t that fast with heating up. Is there a setting for faster heating? I’m pretty sure it’s taking longer than a few minutes.

It virtually works with any bottles. I tried in both the Philips and non-Phillips. It takes a little longer to warm up if your bottle is silicone. Does it answer your question?

Hi Kainat, so the entire progress indicator blinks fast and switches off or something like that? if so, it is likely because the temperature of water in the bottle warmer is too hot or too cold. Switch off and unplug. Let it cool down for a few minutes. Make sure you fill it with fresh room temperature water. In addition, the water level should not be too low. Let me know if it helped?

@@alijackson1808 There is an annoying sensor on this and the boil-dry protection is activated, sigh... The temperature of water in the bottle warmer is probably too hot (or too cold). you should fill it with fresh room temperature water. Let it cool down for a few minutes and It should work. hopefully, this helps.

One big thing you forgot to do is take the cover off the bottle when warming it can explode under pressure.

@@ArvinDaddy Because literally every single other bottle warmer advises you in big red letters to take the cap off before you warm it the reason that Phillips doesn’t say that is beyond me but pressure can build with the cap on it and it can rupture. It’s just physics 101.

Always better be safe than be sorry. So I would suggest being on the safer side. having said that Avent did not mention this (I just went through the manual) besides, even in the manual and the website, they put picture of bottle with the cover.

@@ArvinDaddy so after doing some research I found out that the Avent bottles cap has two holes for venting. They're the ones who have that. So if you're using other bottles with this warmer then take the caps off.
