Yes I checked the sound level of this Phillips and was 5dB lower than the Bosch Mixie of same 600 w. Certainly this is the most silent mixer in the Indian market.

I have a japanese mixer with 2hp motor. yes you read it right 2 horsepower. And I bought it in 1999 for Rs 50 (scrap find) and it still works. I think it can grind concrete too. I will try to sell it to some construction firm to grind stones if I ever want to get a 'silent' mixer lol

Ur IndianConsumer Sure. Just teleport me to 1999. But I think I might still get one for 100 or under. Let me check at the scrap import market. I had also bought a iron (press) at that time for 80 rs. Rowenta company(german manufactured) and that too is working. All through the 1999, people who came to my house and used my iron kept getting burnt...ask why. They were used to checking if the iron has become hot or not (Normally most irons at that time took about 2- 3 mins to get hot enough. THis thing, 3 seconds flat.

Philips mixer grinder not up to the mark. Makes enough noise grinding takes longer time. Chutney jar stopped working within a year of purchase. Better opt for Sujatha mixer grinder.
