Have you used the “fade in” function with you lighting? I bought this plug hoping I could time the light on my aquarium to fade on and off but I can’t seem to make it work. Perhaps it’s not possible.
@chaoticsofea9993 жыл бұрын
@@TheMgiche in my case I have the expensive aquascapes rgb lighting so yes,I can do that and it work fantastically since it doesn't scare my fish when I turn the light on but my favourite feature on this plug is just simply I can schedule of when It'll turn on and off.Because my rgb light is a bit outdated and it doesn't have an app. It also depends on your light whether It support it too. The smart plug I use for my non smart chinese led light on one of my fish tank can only turn on and turn off. Works fine by me but I don't think if you have regular light it will work.

So let me get this straight: Once its paired with your phone, the light cannot be activated by anyone else at all. No switches will work, nothing?
@StickOnHair3 жыл бұрын
I've just been playing with it. It appears the remote can be used to control smart plugs IF: they are assigned to a zone or a room. So if you are using the switch for a fan like me, you can use two switches, one for a room called 'Bedroom Light' and the second to control a room called 'Bedroom Fan'. Its a messy solution but it works.

Thanks for the review. I believe this device SHOULD NOT be connected to home appliances such as heaters, kettles, dryers and fans etc. Apparently, they will exceed the plugs max amp limit. (10 to 13ams) If this is true, THIS IS THE FUNDAMENTAL FAILURE OF THIS PRODUCT. For the price Philips charge, this device should be able to be plugged into ANY home appliance.
@experiment544 жыл бұрын
Those devices you listed can’t exceed 13amps else they would be blowing fuses in plugs as the Max fuse for plugs in the U.K. is 13amp.

I have the North American version, which, I assume, should work similarly. I had some difficulty getting it set up, and , as a matter of fact, it still doesn't appear in the Hue android app as a separate device (connected to the Hue bridge). I called Philips Hue support, and the tech told me this plug is meant to work only with Philips Hue devices! So no help there... I found however, that the plug is recognized by something, because I can operate it using Google assistant and third party Hue apps, just not the Philips app. It controls a non-Hue lamp. So bottom line - it works well enough.
