I work as a waiter in a Austrian Hotel and I almost daily are slightly annoyed with too much foam during the pour, but watching you told me to always just slightly tap the handle to get the "stopped" beer in the line out and get fresh beer, thank you for this useful information! Cheers!

Hi Simon I’ve enjoyed your videos and have just bought a Perfect Draft I’ve got a Budweiser and a Spaten do you know typically what best before dates you get?the two I’ve got are June and July which is only 3-4 months thought I’d get 6-12

I helped a neighbor move some heavy cabinets and as a nice gesture she got me a 6 pack of Spaten lager . .Oh my goodness . .it is superb .. if I can get a Perfect Draft System ... a keg of Spaten would be the first one I bought .. great review!

Finally, I have my PD machine ordered from Beer Hawk. And this is one of the kegs I have chosen. Hertog Jan & Hasseroder are the other 2 that I have gone for to start with. Absolutely love Spaten, in fact I always have a Stein when in the Brauhaus when I'm up in Glasgow.

Love your reviews and passion for beer pal. You are on the money though. You have to buy a beer machine to understand. I started with a Krups, graduated to a PD and then following one of your videos got myself a beer engine too. Love them all.

Great review Simon. Just found this 1 after buying 6 bottles of spaten fron Sainsbury’s. Never heard of it but thought it was absolutely delicious. Then looked up your review. It has a lovely bitter taste long after you’ve drunk it. I’d give it a stone the crows 10.

Nice review as always. I've got PD for about 3 months now and Spaten was one of the first and i agree that it is a good beer. Almost all of the German beers except Diebels, Schneiders and Becks, are descent. But i think the pricing could be better. I don't know how expensive the Polykegs are in the UK, since they aren't distributed here in Germany, but that is the same concept as the PD except you need a professional machine. A Container that has a bag inside that gets pressurized. I hope they overthink their prices in the future. Especially when they want to sell the Pro model to the masses soon. Cheers!

They had some recently on lowcostbeers, from draft but in growlers, was £3 a litre. Had never heard of it, but you can't really go wrong with actual German beer it seems.

Ive discovered that lagers and craft lagers of quality are seriously delicious. Ppl had this idea that lager means mass produced junk. Completely not true. Lagers can be mesmerizing.

Im having a Spaten right now! Very pleasant, drinkable beer. Possibly the most drinkable of the German beers I've drunk, apart from possibly Rothaus Tannenflanze, I also really like Franziskaner. The Spaten is a beut though. Prost!

I always need some kind of weed for after im done drinking, cannabis and hops are literally related closely. Both produce different genetics and flavors, also look similar. Buds and Brew go together perfect. I live in Arizona so it's sold in Dispensaries.

Hertog Jan is a truly excellent Dutch pilsner, a step above some of the more mainstream brands like Grolsch or Bavaria, which are actually both very good, but Hertog is my favorite...

Keg might be 3-4 deg, but the PD has a cooling tray that will warm to room temperature when it is switched off for any length of time, so cooling the keg but leaving the PD off for a few days before putting in a fresh keg defeats the object ... both the keg and PD need to be cooled for the quickest result ... probably why your PD starts off at 15 degrees and mine starts off at 5 !!

I imagine turning them on and off a lot puts more pressure on the cooling system than just leaving them on? Uses more power of course, so positives and negatives.

lowenbrau was 5x better than that dishwater in my opinion and mine had next to no carbonation (maybe a bad keg) i have bought 8 kegs now from the pd and all fantastic apart from that one
