You know I appreciate the quality of this video so much. The learning going on for me is so great that I can absorb and use this as a learning tool to help me be a better trouble shooter on my own equipment and the correct procedure for finding faults especially in complex equipment. My laptop will not fire up and with this technique I can find the components I need to replace my unit to make it functional again so as to use my computer successfully and not have to spend money for a tech to do the work for me. 2 years ago I plugged in the power supply backwards so I am pretty sure the failure will be right after the power supply.

Very well done demonstration.. I have a similar device, the CRT trace becomes weak and disappears after about 10 minutes of being turned on, any ideas ? Thanks in advance, ED

Hello! Thanks for the great video! I have similar oscilloscope with the problem in channel B. I wanted to see the signal on the transistors, which you have shown. But somehow, my digital oscilloscope does not want to see the signal even on the channel A, which works fine. Do you have any ideas, what can I do wrong? I am using cheap tester as a source of the signal. The signal from it, I can see with both oscilloscopes, but not on those transistors. Could you, please help me?

Modern oscilloscopes have many, many more; they are just much, much smaller. Part 3 should be along fairly soon.

use a pin or piece of paperclip in the jaws of your alligator clips to help ya with them hard to reach places. Great vids.
