Philips vintage speakers

The tweeters were legendary. I used to buy them at Lafayette electronics for projects and up grades in other speakers.

Here in the US I never saw any Philips speakers for sale until about 1973 when some of their powered speakers were sold here. One could buy Philips drivers, and I did two DIY speaker projects back then. A local shop even sold a locally-made transmission-line speaker that used an 8 inch Philips woofer and their famous mylar dome tweeter. And of course there were many brands that used Philips drivers - Rectilinear, Infinity etc.

Tweeters: Philips AD 0160/T Squakers: " AD 5060/Sq Woofer: " AD 12100/W Great drivers! In my youth I built some boxes with these speakers and others from the Philips brand!
