Being artistically bad at art is a fascinating thing when done well, and part of doing it well is the fact that there’s a certain type of person that can pull it off, you need a really weird and uncommon but hilarious type of confidence, like this guy has, that a majority of the world let alone the Canadian population just doesn’t have. You’ve gotta be a funny person in you art and your day to day life but most importantly, you need to be very creative about being bad at doing whatever type of art it is that intrigues you and not just make squiggly lines. Like that empty bottle of vinegar or whatever with the face drawn onto it, that he then tattooed onto himself, that was genuinely not only cool but, interesting and couple that with the artists personality which will add a laidback, chill & hilarious back story to the piece that, whenever people ask ‘why’d you intentionally get such a bad tattoo!??’ You end up looking back on fondly, and, immediately puts a massive smile on your face as you recount the details. *that,* to me is the genius of ‘bad artwork’ which, can never be replicated by artists with a more common outlook on their work. & is also why it will never be a super mainstream style seen in exhibitions nor, on the skin of many people. Idk if this made any lick of sense but yeah, I like intentionally ‘bad’ art, I like taking what’d be considered awful photographs but playing around with them both before and after taking them while editing, to far more effectively convey whatever it was I was thinking and feeling while taking the picture, in a way that, ‘normal’ photography just cannot and will never be able to. Sometimes at least, not always does breaking every conventional rule work out better for your final artistic product. What a awesome dude, would totally go on a trip to get a tatt from this dude if Canada wasn’t mid plague rn! 😂
