I must say, I always knew Rush was insanely talented but I never really knew how difficult their songs were to play, but this video really brought that to light to me. Absolutely exquisite. Phil, you truly have a gift!

I'm gonna learn this, way to cool. Awesome playing brother! So many kids these days don't understand how amazing some of the musicians were back in the 70's. My son, who is 23 says my music is boring and dead, but this video reminds me of just how awesome it was growing up in that era, and how awesome the music was, and still is.
@junkbot2.16 жыл бұрын
My dad got me into zeppelin when i was 10, got myself into rush when i was about 19 or so im 23 now. Sorry about your son, maybe you should have started him young on some real music.
@quebecfisher41024 жыл бұрын
Wowowow, I'm 16 and all mu music is from 70's to 2000. None after that. Rush is my top group, followed by pink floyd, pearl jam, Metallica. There's still hope
@escargotomy10 жыл бұрын
Arguably the finest song of the entire Rush catalog (maybe only bested by La Villa Strangiato) done in an entirely new and fresh way! It is Rush's "And You and I", if you get my line of thinking. It could only have been improved by including the volume pedal swell stuff at the beginning but I'm not complaining. I'm not worthy sir!

Holy crap! Freaking amazing! I got choked up. I could hear Neil's roto toms and chimes in the background. You literally brought tears to my eyes. "To seek the sacred river Alph/to walk the caves of ice" Neil's lyrics were about seeking immortality. He has achieved it.

Your acoustic renditions of these classic songs are absolutely awesome! The way you blend the guitar and bass parts together really butters my croissant. I love you Phil, in a totally heterosexual way.

5 years later. But I really wish Alex would release an album of nylon and acoustic versions of some of their songs with a couple new pieces. 🤞

Watching this makes you appreciate the original composition. There's not much repetition and every part is quite different from every other and yet the song comes together very seamlessly.
