The only EV na nakita ko na may spare donut tire. Usually sealant lang mga EV dito sa Pinas. Correct me if im wrong. I believe this is a direct competitor to the BYD Dolphin and the Dong Feng Nammi

I agree. And at an awesome price too. The devil is in the details though. Drive test didn’t seem convincing on the promised battery range, and also there is a discrepancy on the battery chemistry declared. Not a great look.

@@lostwanderingdrifter i drove this car (Pro 505 variant) from Marilao Bulacan up to Shell Mamplasan Binan Laguna. I DC charged up to 90% and went back. was amazed i got a reading of 10Kwh per 100Km. I consumed 26% battery 2way. There was no traffic early morning NLEX, EDSA, SLEX. Eco mode, strong regen breaking. maybe because of my driving style only at 80km/hr smart cruise at highways. also did not overtake any cars during the trip because there were no slow cars. I believe the battery chemistry of the car is LFP because it can only DC charge up to 60kw (150- 160 amps at 400 volts.) and also per JAC middle east its LFP. Middle east, and Philippines have the same model with the spare donut tire, other countries don't have that.

@@BabyBoyJr. thanks for sharing this. So it’s certsain that it is LFP and not NCA? A news article from winackbattery describes the Cellular battery as a honeycomb of NCA batteries. It is unfortunate that it is the only one I found. JAC’s cellular battery isn’t widely discussed apparently compared to BYD’s blade battery.

@@lostwanderingdrifter originally i was confused because the first info in Jac's website before official release here in the Philippines was "Cellular Battery". I asked the dealership and they claimed it was LFP. Now their site states now LFP battery in the car's brochure. I think this car has LFP because NMC is much expensive to produce.

Something for the journalists - what is the battery type of the JAC Ytterby? International sources say it’s a Cellular Battery (NCA) but the local brochure say LFP? Why the discrepancy? Who was misinformed? Or did someone lie? Will this be a surprise that customers will find out the hard way?

Same goes for internal combustion cars. As long as you take proper good care of it, ICE cars or EVs, it will have a long life.
