Bryce Harper is likely to win NL player of the month for June. Hes literally hitting .385/.467/.718 for an MLB best 1.185 OPS for the month. Its an insane run. If he continues to win 3 player of the month awards along, with a SS and him playing 1b with better defensive metrics than guys like Freddie Freeman hes going to be MVP no matter how much MLB loves Ohtani.

If he gets 140 RBI with less than 20 HR, that would be highly impressive. And it would be the first time in MLB that a player had at least 140 RBI in a season since Ryan Howard and Prince Fielder both had 141 RBI in 2009.

@@wook1990he should try to continue to bulk up though. Bigger guys like Judge and Ohtani have shown that you can be a high average, and high slugging% player. Think about how many of Bohms pulled line drives, and pop flys that hit the warning track could actually become HRs if his exit velocity was up 2-4 MPH. He reminds me of a young Stanton in Miami where line drives and missed barrel pop flys would just keep going out. Bohm does have the frame for it

Somehow my previous comment was deleted, but I'll come back to point out that 1. there are weaker teams that have fewer strikeouts than the Phils, and 2. the Phils rank 4th in RBIs and home runs in the MLB right now. And that's just the offense side of things. They also have a pretty solid, though certainly not perfect, record in fielding. You can look up the stats pretty easily.

The Philadelphia Phillies franchise was a mess before Bryce Harper got there. What are the chances JT Realmuto signs that extension without him? Does Zack Wheeler go to Philly? Do Schwarber and Castellanos both sign? How about Trea Turner? Does Alec Bohm turn out to be this good? He turned that entire franchise around.

Can someone please explain the Triple for me? They had a runner on third and first. The hitter knocked one clear out to Nola, that's one out. Then Nola to Harper puts the first base runner out because he was trying to tag back, so now there's 2 outs. I'm trying to get how it's a Triple because the third base runner had ran home. I'm a newer fan to baseball and I'm learning but this one had me confused. Harper took his time to throw to third but no one was running there. HELP
