Great W for the new kid on the mound! But, I think it’s time we start making Alvarado an early game reliever. Simply cannot rely on him in the playoffs in crucial moments. Leave that for Hoffman/Strahm.

He's good for an inning. Hoffman and Strahm can give you an inning and a half. Possibility two if needed. Closer for one inning is his niche . IMO the better move is to find that guy who comes in and relieves Alvarado in the ninth If he is pulled in the 9th.

Even Ranger needs to look at the first couple of months this season against the last month - something changed, and they need to figure that out.

Try to watch another YT channel's coverage But they used the female broadcaster from Oakland as all of the commentary, and I mean there's no way to be sexist. Great win offense was amazing but pitching was iffy at times and Castellanos was good and we gotta do better on not swinging at balls out of the zone and hitting in the zone. But we need one more relief pitcher and a good bat in center and I wouldn’t be surprised if we trade for rooker or Ian Happ will see. But after losing 6-2 yesterday great bounce back. I know the female announcer for the As has been getting a lot of crap this year for her squeaky voice and lack of experience, so it’s nice to see that it has all been entirely justified.
