I was 21 dying in the hospital from an unknown blood disorder and there was honestly no way I was going to make it. I gained 90 pounds of water that was leaking out of my legs because my skin couldn’t hold in the swelling anymore. It took 12 surgeries and over 4 years of recovery to be able to move around on my own but God did it and I beat all the odds. He’s a way maker!

I've been a church musician all my life , raised on church and everything....I grew up listen this song without realizing that the same musical impact that had in my teenage years as a young musician ...it will have as a grown man who got out of church, forgot about God ,did a lot of bad things in my adult years. Today I listen the lyrics and totally understand the reason why this song still around in my music library. God keeps talking thru anything...heard? Any kind of way. God not only let me walk and talk again he let me learn to drive a 5-speed pickup truck, graduated from college and so far I'm not done yet I have lost 160 pounds from pure grit and determination. Yes He is! Don't give up. There is ALWAYS hope. I'm glad you know He loves you anyway. It took me about 7 years of going to multiple rehabs, AA, CR, etc., before I was finally able to "let go and let God."

Such a true song for my life. Just two weeks ago I was in such an emotional and spiritual hole, torturing myself over my sin so much that it was hard to see God. Then His mercy reached right in to my heart and for three days I prayed constantly, begging Him to reach in and pull me out. Brothers and Sisters, you all know how it ended. I think the strength of this song in that the lyrics just ring so true to someone's soul. And many of us are very glad of it. I know that I am because I, for one, am EXACTLY the dude in this song. I am just seeing this, 3 years after you wrote your message, my heart hurts for what you've been thru. I pray that you have seen evidence of God in your life and your situation now. I was in a mental hospital over 30 years ago for over a month and it was terrible. I was misdiagnosed and had 2 really tough years afterwards. BUT GOD....He showed Himself to me in a vision, while I was in a straight jacket for 10 days, I saw him praying in the garden ...that helped me to hold on to my faith for those difficult years. I was later correctly diagnosed as Bipolar. I heard this wonderfulsong after I was released and it also spoke to my heart and gave me great peace.....now 30+ years later, God has shown himself faithful to me time and time again. I felt like I was at the end of myself after that experience...I truly feel that when I fully surrendered everything to the lord, my life my family my future...he stepped on and step by step, God brought me peace that passes all understanding. Over the years He has remained faithful even when I have been faithless. Never give up on God, he will never give up on you and he will always make a way out. God bless you! He gave me the scripture 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 which says... To keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing great Revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, to torment me.3 times, I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, " my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ power May rest on me. That is why for Christ's sake at the light and weaknesses, and insults, and hardships for when I'm weak, then I'm strong.
