The week kicked off with a bang during Phillips' Evening Sale, as Jean-Michel Basquiat's 'Untitled (ELMAR)' realized $46.5 million - becoming the highest value lot of the season across houses - and a new auction record was set for Kent Monkman. ​

The momentum continued as the Day Sale on Wednesday set records for Emmi Whitehorse and Charles Alston with successful auction debuts for Calida Rawles, Basil Kincaid, and Raven Halfmoon.​
