I had the same issues, along with it also causing blue screens. I just ordered the quantum es2. I was hoping that it could solve this issue. I could not find a clear comparison between the two the even mentioned these issues. Thank you.

I have been using the Scarlett 2i2 from Gen 1 to Gen 3 and Studio One for all my production needs, including beats, mixing, mastering, and recording. When I first heard of the Quantum ES2, I was intrigued. I decided to take a chance, sold my Scarlett, and bought an ES2. Wow, it is a game changer. My headphone impedance levels feel correct, and I don't need a gain booster for the multiple mics I have. The latency is a dream. Additionally, having the outputs on the back makes everything so much cleaner. I could have gotten the Gen 4 Scarlett, but I wanted to try something new that also integrates with Studio One, and now I can never go back. The mic preamps are amazing.

I agree, The E2 is a beast. I have that and the HD2.

The AUX is only an auxiliary POWER input, there is NO audio data on that port, so this is noch like an iConnectivity Audio4C which has 2 USB-C ports and sophisticated routing. But still its a very goot audio interface.

How are you liking it so far? Had it not been for my issues, I likely would have just kept my Scarlett.

I ended up having my unit sent in for repairs. Nothing was found to be wrong. I grabbed another 2i2 still had the same issue, but the 3rd gen works fine. Sometimes these things happen. Thanks for reaching out.

Your SM7B is a Dynamic mic, which does NOT need phantom power. Having it on shouldn't hurt the mic, but best practice is to not send power where it's not needed.

I'm using a Cloudlifter like device, so I need it, or my mic doesn't work.

THe difference between Focusrite and presonus is the presonus interface preamps get weak and PResonus refuses to fix them. I have 4 on the shelf now. Useless.

Still enjoying it? And is it still working well for you? I’ve just ordered the ES4 as an upgrade to a basic 2nd gen Scarlett - simply cause I’m gunna use the 4 inputs for recording drums. Feel like I’m taking a gamble cause focusrite seem to rule the market, but they don’t do 4 phantom inputs and 2 headphone outs at the same price point

Yes. I love it. I can run my buffer at 64 with 0% issues. With 4 different Scarlett on 2 or so different PC's I could never run it under 192 buffer, which is insane. So yes, the Focusrite products seem to rule the market and are crazy popular, but for me they are crap.

Not sure where your problems come from with the Scarlett 4th gen, I never had any of the problems you listed

I'm using Audient id14 first generation. Does Quantum ES2 sound better than my old Audient? Is it worth upgrading?

I don't know anything about other audio interfaces, except these 2 that I have personally played with. For me it was worth upgrading, but it doesn't sound better. It's just more efficient, and reliable from my own experience.

Stick with the Audient ID14 unless you use Studio One DAW. The tight integration ist with this DAW is an advantage

I have no idea sadly, as the settings don't tell me like they do on Focusrite. However, if calculations are correct it would be 1.3 ms.

@@Philminator yes, I am constantly using it to find fine edge between what I recorded and what I am trying to record over.. probably we can use soft But it is not so organic and it would be another window on the top of daw and plugins and G know what ..

Also have question will it be possible to use it with usb C to A and additional power supply ? Since manuals said C to A would not give enough power
