PHILMONT 2021 | END OF THE TREK | TREKKING DAY ELEVEN

Welcome to Trekking Day 12! Today we hiked about ~2 miles with -100 feet of vertical elevation to our exit trailhead. There, we played cards while relaxing and waiting for the bus, and after being driven back to Base Camp we spent the day in the nearby town of Cimarroncita, getting lunch at a pizzeria and walking around the town for a while.
Philmont is a BSA High Adventure Camp that my scout troop traveled too over summer this year. Our trip consisted of 2.5 travel days each way, 1 day at base camp, 11 days of trekking, all in New Mexico state and featuring some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the U.S. Here are the videos I filmed along the way, from the bad to the great, about the whole experience.
