Personally when my plants don't look good above soil, it means something has gone wrong with the roots. My Florida Beauty was browning on the yellow parts of the leaf and I initially thought it was light burn (I'm using new grow lights) but luckily I dug it out of the soil and found that it was root rot. I know you've probably checked its roots but maybe consider changing the soil. The seller who sold me my Florida Beauty cutting has 15 leaves on his plant and he uses Liquid Gold Leaf fertilizer, he suggested that I buy some as all his plants look beautiful. He also advised to keep the plant about 20 degrees and humidity to above 65%. I've watched all of your videos on this plant and look forward to seeing a happy update next time! Good luck! :)

Wet sticks or stumps work well with moss or perlite or pawn it has to be a lil humid for node cuttings it activates the root and new growth point although you should let cuttings dry for an hour or two before putting it in a close container if ever you put in a sealed case. She's a beauty hope she gets well

Hopefully you’ve resolved your issues by now. When I see any type of decline in a plant I look to the soil and usually change it out making sure the roots look okay. It seems like the roots are not able to sustain the leaf growth? I’d also try a fungicidal-bacteriocidal treatment. I need to look at propagating my first Florida beauty soon and now I’m terrified! An update would be great! It helps if we can learn from one another. Thanks for sharing! 🤞🏻🪴❤️💚

Hi! For props, try air layering them! It’s possible to air layer with potting mix as well! Better if it’s an aroid mix. When it grows roots, you just plop it into a put and you got a new plant! 🙌🙌 hehe

Try putting kakei paste on the stumps axullary bud,if it's still viable for the other one increase the humidity so the baby leafs stay happy

the plant is no longer getting enough nurtition from its old roots. The nutrition goes to the old leaves. When a new plant shoots out of the mother plant you need to air layer it and coach it to form new roots on it's own. I suggest you plant it with the shoots under the soil so it form roots.

Hi Ruby, been really enjoying your Florida beauty videos. Sorry to hear about the disappointing growth in this video. Did your watering schedule change after you took your cutting? I ask because after a large cutting like that your plant intakes less water and may have resulted in root damage. I would suggest unpotting and checking the roots.

I think that you shoud air layer most of the nodes because it cant get enough energy, because it is taller now, the leaves needs a roots from the nodes

@@slightlyplantobsessed4194 Did you track down the cuttings you sold? Ask to see if they are doing well and in what kind of condition. Maybe that will give you some ideas. Don’t lose hope. They need time to recover and grow!🥰

@@slightlyplantobsessed4194 Sometimes you can get pest in the soil or on the roots. They do not kill the plant, but they zap energy and the plant cannot grow more. It stays stagnant. Look in the soil and at the roots real close.

the soil might need to be changed because if it's been more than a year, the soil may be compact with minerals. It could also be due to overwatering, fungal infection, too high light, not enough aeration, too high humidity (water on the new leaves can cause them to rot off), over-fertilizing, not enough fertilizing (minerals, etc.), too high alkalinity, too low of a PH, yadda yada yada. I'm sure you know all of this but sometimes we forget. I think personally it's root rot and water on the new leaves.
