Here's the lore for you: Much of this started with a de-sync glitched called "Torch Storage", which led to some very early furniture Transmutations. (This whole arc happened during a Multiplayer playthrough where we had extra time due to staggered boss progression.) The first item transmutation was a Soul of Sight, after someone posted a glitch world seed on Reddit which basically had a naturally-generated Prong Glitch. (And the Prong Glitch itself was derived from there). After that, several months of shenanigans led to two years of educated guesswork and more experimentation led to modern Transmutation.

Honestly, I actually don't know! It depends upon whether the second player "connects" to the server, or if both are hosts. (There's no way to tell this without trying out the glitch setup and seeing if it works.) If you get a chance to test it out, I'd love to hear about how it goes.

The second part does work in multiplayer, too, but you need to keep track of whether the Bast is "on" or "off", as it becomes invisible if you activate it while in Multiplayer. This can be accomplished using a torch (since they toggle on/off with wire.) The important caveat is you can't set up the Campfire Glitch / CGO in multiplayer. So, that needs to be set-up in Singleplayer, if you plan to do anything with that. Purely using Philospher's Stone works fine though. (And, if you set up CGO in Singleplayer, and -then- go into Multiplayer to use it... Very strange things happen. That's getting a dedicated video.)

It can- Placing a Bast and using the eraser tool to remove the bottom 2x2 will yield similar effects. There's some hypothetical glitches which I know of through testing in TEDIT, though I'm mostly interested in stuff you can setup legitimately.

It's possible to open two instances of Terraria on PC and connect to your own "Host and Play" server, and you just tab in/out of the two players. See the first link in the description for the playlist with the guide. I'm curious as to how doing this with mods will go- I know for a fact it works with TModloader, I'm just not sure how they interact.

Due to version differences, Host and Play on PC and Host and Play on console function a little differently, leading to differences in the initial setup. To perform the setup on Console, you'll need to either a.) Join a server, and set it up there or b.) Have a friend join when you’re hosting, and have them set it up for you. This is due to version differences with how hosting works. On PC, hosting actually makes you a client to a server hosted in the background. On console, you are the host, meaning de-syncing doesn’t work. Hence why you need to connect to the server or have someone else connect- being the Host when using Host and Play won’t work, unfortunately. Once the setup is complete, the glitch should function identical to PC. Hope this helps^^!

How come the door doesn't update back to a door? I've been wondering the code updates the block on and off so how come it doesn't go back when it is turned off? Does it simply never turn on so it always updates upward?

We close the door to move it outside the Bast's AOE, so that when it _does_ turn it back off, it toggles air, rather than the door. Then, we move the door back into the Bast's area, moving forwards. Close the door, toggle the Bast (door is clear), step forwards again, etc. The fact we can open / close doors makes them perfect for infinitely repeating a given step.

So why does it make a different item? You may have explained it and I didn’t understand it, but I’m curious

Effectively, the game reads the "FrameX" value of the door sprite to determine which variant of the door should be dropped. The Bast Statue manipulates this FrameX value (in intervals of 72 pixels) to go way outside of the expected range (which normally is 0 pixels to 72 pixels- so, by the second time you've used the Bast Statue, you're already outside the expected range). The code for doors doesn't correctly check to ensure the value is within that range, so when the game does some math and returns the item IDs of what should be dropped, it returns things which aren't doors. There's a video entirely dedicated to the theory behind this alongside how to utilize it for yourself which is coming up next.

You can do it with dirt and stone, or sand and sandstone. It works with certain natural blocks from a "ChecksForMerge" list which I don't remember off the top of my head. Those are just a few of the easy ones.

Hrrm, were you in online multiplayer? (i.e. did you have a friend helping?) The setups for the Door Desync Glitch are only known to work in Online multiplayer- split screen does not work as it's not "true" multiplayer. Once you have the glitch setup, though, it should work in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Let me know if it still doesn't work, though^^

Pretty much. You start around ID 600 with Philo (which can directly obtain everything forward of there), and decrementing into those earlier IDs is done most easily using CGO and transmuting some torches. Currently there's no fast way of doing it (due to fuel limitations).

From what I understand it's a bit harder to do on console but mechanics-wise it works the same way. Harder, because the new one-instance methods don't work, so you need a friend to perform these setups. (Split screen doesn't work.) But, once setup, the glitches perform in a similar way to PC. And, still not patched! I expected 1.4.5 to break some things but in-turn I plan to break 1.4.5.

Head - Betsy's Mask, Bright Silver Dye (Use whatever bright dye you want color-wise; this applies to the whole set.) Chest - Red's Chestplate, Bright Silver Dye Pants - Rich Mahogany Pants, Bright Silver Dye Accessories: Frog Flipper, Silver Dye (Keep these as silver for the "claw color".) Betsy's Wings, Bright Silver Dye Berserker's Glove, Silver Dye (Same with these, keep them as silver.) Extras: (These are solely in the set for some contrast) Star Cloak, Purple Dye Worm Scarf, Violet Gradient Dye Hope this helps! (Credit to u/u/Olegna_Sahagnam on Reddit for some of the ideas.)
