You did a great job! Heterodox schools are non Vedic/Hinduism . Why do Hindus keep trying to stay say they are under the Umbrella of Hinduism... ? They are separate different religions, practices and belief systems all together.

Because all the schools focus on liberation of one self(in one form or another),rebirth and moksha at the end escaping the cycle , Sanyas and meditation to name a few. Also referring to heterodox schools as non Vedic Hinduism or say referring to advait vedanta as Vedic Buddhism (implying the supposed influence of Nagarjuna of Adi Shankaracharya), embraces the commonness of the philosophies, it emphasises the role of each philosophy in the development of other. The concept of religion itself is alien and not Indian and should be used only vaguely when referring to Indian philosophy or Darshan. If you compare different schools of orthodox Indian philosophy you’ll see apart from recognition of vedas samakhya and vedanta have nothing in common with nyaya , it seems nyaya much closely resembles charvak than vedanta or samakhya.

@@akaniowahyu8533 samkhya is probably one of the oldest philosophy. It is linked with oldest form of shaivism. Concept of samkhya, might be as old as concept of metaphysics.
