In this video we bring you how to develop a virtuous character from the philosophy of Aristotle. His philosophy is often referenced as Aristotelianism.
Aristotle defined virtues as dispositions to choose good actions and passions, informed by moral knowledge of several sorts. For Aristotle, virtues can be intellectual or moral, the intellectual ones are learned by instruction or education, the moral ones are developed by habits. Performing virtuous acts can be motivated by having a practical purpose or by the desire to act in a virtuous way or by both. In this video, we will explore what one might need to develop virtuous character in accordance with Aristotle’s Virtue Ethics Theory. The three ways to develop your character are -
01. Adopt a Virtuous Mindset
02. Practice Practical Wisdom
03. Contemplate and Reflect
I hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope these three ways to develop your character from the philosophy of Aristotle will add value to your life.
Aristotle is a Promethean figure in the history of the world, who lived between 384-322 BC, He is considered "the father” of logic, biology, political science, zoology, embryology, of natural law, scientific method, rhetoric, psychology, realism and even of meteorology. He was first a student of Plato, then, when Plato retired, he left the Academia which Plato founded, and he became the tutor of Alexander The Great, and the two other future kings: Ptolemy and Cassander. He established a library in the Lyceum which helped him to produce many of his hundreds of books on papyrus scrolls. Unfortunately, only a third of his magnificent work has survived. For example, the treatises “Physics”, “Metaphysics”, “Nicomachean Ethics”, “Politics”, “On the Soul” and “Poetics”, have influenced more than two millennia of scientists and theologians alike, both fascinated by his ideas.

Aristotle says “Virtue lies in our power, and similarly so does vice; because where it is in our power to act, it is also in our power not to act …” We hope that you enjoyed this video and for more videos to help you find success and happiness using ancient philosophical wisdom, don’t forget to subscribe. More than 2000 years have passed and this simple and clear lesson has not influenced the way people think and act. This shows us that most people prefer to be slaves to some mental garbage than to make a continuous effort of self-control and inner self-contemplation. It seems that even the prospect of extinction fails to wake them up from this historical hypnosis.

The biggest plagiarist in the world attempting to teach on virtue? It is common knowledge that Aristotle plagiarized the remaining residue of the burnt down Alexandrian library, compliments of his deranged protégé, Alexander the (not so) Great)? More proof that truth really is stranger than fiction. Even so, still love your channel loads. Thanks for all you do to bring the great philosophers and philosophies to the forefront. Peace and love!

Virtues are defined by the person, same of truth, and morals. It's our individual consciousness that we perceive and understand by. "Good" (vs bad) virtue is in the eyes of the beholder. All men observe, not the world outside, but themselves - since what they see is at best only their conception of what they see; Lionel Mordecai Trilling Whether this video is good has no long term meaning--cause in the long run we're all dead... the best way to get people to do things is to kindly use passive aggressive methods backed up by laws or rules. Take a lesson from any corporate oligarch, or Gov't Elite, note how they use passive aggressive tactics to get their way.

From the ancient Greeks. ( modern version ) . The purpose of any Lifetime. You are not the body and mind you are Eternal Spirit trapped in the body, you have forgotten over many incarnations. The Matrix is your own bio computer virtual reality point of view brain machine that keeps you in the illusion of being a physical Being in a physical world via the nervous system and the five senses ( the Fallen Angel metaphor and Original sin or Original mistake). Meditation-Separation is the practice of putting the body and mind to sleep but staying Awake and Alert inside separate from the body and mind until you EXPERIENCE yourself as Eternal Spirit again. If you remain in this state after Meditation its called Nirvana, Samadhi, the Tao, Virtue Socrates and the stoic saints, Obtaining the Golden Fleece Greek mythology, Garden of Eden, born again Jesus, Awake as Eternal Spirit again-Buddha, The practice of Dying by Socrates, Leaving the Body but not dying Socrates, Ramana Maharshi, Krishnamurti and leaving the known ( separating from the body and mind as the source of Reality) , The Eternal Inner Witness Krishnamurti, The "Eternal Now" of Consciousness Prior to all creation- Nostradamus, etc etc all the same. That is the Truth. ❤

You misunderstood so so much... You're blending together anything and everything you can to try to form a grand unifying principle and in doing so, you're taking things out of their proper context, blurring lines and ignoring and disrespecting the actual meaning of each concept you try to take for your own. Greeks knew NOTHING of Tao. It isn't described. No parallel even exists on Greek philosophy outside of vague abstractions like "the unknown". Which isn't the same. And means nothing essentially. Just like all of what you wrote here.
