During April, my parents took me to see Ben Folds and a Piano at the Borgata in Atlantic city. I listened to a couple of his songs at the time, but not much. It was the fist time I saw him live. The crowd was great, and it was probably the best live performance I have ever seen. I can't wait to see him play again.

Gotta love the part around 3:58 when Ben plays some of "Rhapsody In Blue". That part always makes me want him to complete that phrase, so I end up listening to "Rhapsody" immediately after. Rhapsody In Blue: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apu5mWiZj8SNrK8 Philosophy (Official): kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2XUoYeBnreYras (I prefer the official version, but I appreciate that copies like this are around for posting comments. I'm not sure why the official ones usually don't allow comments.)
Cranking this song a lot again lately. Used to play it when it came out. Just got dumped a month ago and last Friday my company start-up was evaluated, estimated worth $12.8 million. A very confusing time for me (lol) so you're helping me through Ben Folds Five. Cheers from New Zealand :)

Lots of comments about the genius music (rightly so) but the wordsmithing is pretty top-notch, too. Won't you look up at the skyline? At the mortar, block, and glass And check out the reflections in my eyes You see they always used to be there Even when this was all was grass And I sang and danced about a high-rise And you were laughing at my helmet hat Laughing at my torch Well, go ahead, you can laugh all you want I got my philosophy (it keeps my feet on the ground) And I trust it like the ground (ground) And that's why my philosophy (my phil') It keeps me walking when I'm falling down ('osophy) I see that there is evil And I know that there is good Now the in-betweens, I never understood Would you look at me? I'm crazy But I get the job done Yeah, I'm crazy but I get the job done And I say, go ahead, you can laugh all you want But I got my philosophy (it keeps my feet on the ground) And I trust it like the ground (ground) And that's why my philosophy (my phil') It keeps me walking when I'm falling down ('osophy) I pushed you 'cause I loved you guys I didn't realize You weren't having fun And I dragged you up the stairs And I told you to fly You were flapping your arms You started to cry, you were too high No, too high You may take this all for granted You take the mortar, block, and glass And you forget the speech that moved the stone But it's really not that you can't see The forest from the trees You never been out in the woods alone So you can laugh all you want to But I got my philosophy (it keeps my feet on the ground) And I love you, you're my friend (friend) But you got no philosophy (my phil') And now it's time for the song to end ('osophy)

I don't mind when people post comments on songs saying where they came from... They're enjoying the music and sharing that with the community they came from... What annoys me is all of the bitter "I'm here cause it's good music" retaliation comments. Let people enjoy their thing for God's sake, everyone heard about it from somewhere.

Divine philosophy is all that really truly exists. All mortal or foolish views don't actually exist in the full reality of the great universe visible at night. So says Science & Health, the monument built to Abraham Lincoln and the vets and nurses and families. (Mary Todd was such a confederate frog, they practically married A. Lincoln to M. Eddy....Never did change the polygamy law did they? Probably should have done that immediately)
